Raven's POV
I already went to class after eating breakfast with the others. There were only about four of us out of twenty inside the room. I guess I came a little early.
I looked out of the window, staring at the bird nest on the tree.
"Good morning Raven!" Diana Greeted me with so much energy.
Her sparkling black hair smells like lavenders. Did she just took a shower?
"Morning Dia, did you just took a shower?" I greeted her
"Yeah, I thought I was running late and didn't dry my hair properly. Is it still wet?" she asked
"Just a little bit over the ends" I answered
"Let me dry it using magic" she said as she put a bit of mana on her hands and used it to dry the ends of her hair
"So you can also do magic that way. Girls are really innovative" I said as I was amused by her practices
"It takes a lot to be a lady" Diana smirked
After a while, Mr. Filoria came in and class started
"Starting today I am your magic training teacher, apart from being your homeroom teacher. You all know that there are four basic elements of magic, right?" Mr. Filoria asked and we answered him
"Mr. Green, why don't you enumerate them" Mr. Filoria asked one of my classmates
"They are Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth" He answered
"That's right, but there are also two special elements that don't belong in the group. Can someone tell me what those are" Mr. Filoria asked the class again
This time Diana raised her hand and answered. "They are the light and dark magic which neither belong to the four major elements" Diana answered
"That's correct Ms. Quinburow. The four major magic elements are simple, but these light and dark mages are so rare that it is considered rare and only a few high ranking officials in the entire kingdom can use it after much practice" He said
"Mr. Filoria, is light and dark magic not gifted to a person in his or her coming of age ceremony?" I asked a question
"No, it is only practiced by great magicians and few are only able to achieve it. They are called great sages" Mr. Filoria said
My light magic is so rare and I am so lucky that God gave it to me as I transmigrated into this world. I must keep my light magic a secret and only use it when I am really in a pinch.
"Now that we all know the basic magic of this world. Let us talk about it's origin" Mr. Filoria said to the class
He said that all of us were magicless and God decided to bring down an angel to teach us and gift all human beings magic. God was the most powerful being that could control all magic.
The royal family were descendants of the first human to ever master how magic works. They were the most powerful at that time and built an empire of peace. They learned the magic of water and fire. It is said that the first emperor had two magic affinities.
He first learned fire and then mastered fire. He was the world's first great sage.
The Royal family really has a deep history.
"Now that we've tackled the origin of magic and it's history why don't we do a simple training" Mr. Filoria said
"This is called mana control" Mr. Filoria said as a blue aura surrounded him. the color was so distinct and it was so big.
"Try to channel your mana into every part of your body. With this technique basic attacks won't hurt. Even a punch won't hurt you as mana covers your skin" he added
Everyone tried and only some had succeeded with a faint color of their mana. Diana had a spark of yellow aura. She really works hard.
I tried to channel the mana in my body. I concentrated and felt as if mana were a part of my body, as if it was it was an extended limb.
I opened my eyes to see red aura envelop my body. It had the same glow as the professor, but it wasn't as big as his.
"Mr. Rosevelt, you must be a natural. It seems that you've already trained" Mr. Filoria praised me
"Everyone should work hard like Rosevelt. Try your best, and class dismissed" Mr. Filoria said as he ended class
My classmates were in awe and crowded me. They asked me how I did it and some were just intrigued.
"Hello everyone!" A woman said as she made her way to the teacher's table.
Everyone quickly went back to their seats and went silent.
"I'm Ms. Gretchen Kurtch. I will be your history teacher this school year nice to meet you all" She said as she greeted everyone with a smile.
I like her, but I hate history.
