Raven's POV

The sudden proposal from the first prince made the whole room silent. My sister looks very confused as well.

"Prince I think you should reconsider, my sister just annulled her engagement with your younger brother" I bravely said

"Father asked for what I wanted, shouldn't I state it?" prince Claude said with a very pressuring aura

"Enough! The choice is always up to lady Rosevelt" The emperor shouted

"I accept his highness, the first prince's proposal" as a very surprising choice, my sister accepted his proposal. the look on prince Edward's face looks as if he was pissed off. 

"Do you really want that decision?" Father asked sister for confirmation

"I am firm on my decision and will support the first prince on whatever he does" Rebecca said as she glared at the empress

"Did you just declare an advance to the throne? My throne?" the prince said in a very angry voice

My sister didn't answer and stared at him blankly.

"So I will see you often from now on. You are my fiancée" Claude smirked

We left the castle and went back towards the duchy.

What a tiring day it was for a castle visit. I never liked the royal family, what a bother.

Rebecca's POV

Did I just really do that? Am I insane or just dumb? Oh my goodness!

What did I just do? I was so pissed off at that two-timing bitch!

Why did Prince Claude have to arrive from his travel at the same time on our visit? This is such an annoyance!

Didn't he say that he'll frequently visit the manor? Does that mean I'll have to see him frequently?

This is the worst decision I have ever made!

The word I needed was just a simple NO, but I was clouded by my feelings and dug myself a never ending pit.

I still have two weeks before Raven and I go back to the academy and I will not see the prince that often.

That's right, I should play along for two weeks and find a chance to say what I really feel.

I mean Prince Claude is much more handsome than Edwards is both inside and outside.

If only that jerk didn't use me for his bitch, this wouldn't happen at all.

I should be careful around the first prince and give him a reason to break off our engagement.

Edwards POV

That snake really pulled off something!

"She dare to make a declaration for the throne, I will never allow that stained blood of his to be Emperor" Mother shrieked and vented with anger

"Why would she make a rash decision like that. Violett would never have that bad personality of hers" I said

" That Violett! Why did you even let the lady of the Rosevelts that you had a lover? You knew that she is spoiled, a brat, and has a bad personality!" Mother scolded me

"Violett is my true love. She never cared about social status and never treated me as royalty. She treated my like every other person she knew" I confessed

"I will arrange another engagement for you and the daughter of Duke Lidius" mother added

"Who's she?" I asked

"Adelaide Lidius, the second lady of the Ducal family" Mother said

"And don't you ever let her see that Violett girl and make the same mistakes. Even I cannot guarantee your seat if you continue this disgrace called true love" Mother warned me for the last time with a very stern voice.

"I understand, I'll send a letter to Violett stating that we need to be away for a while" I complied with my mother's commands

Claude's POV

She grew up as a fine lady. That idiot of a brother made the wrong choice.

He should've treated her better. She was kind enough to me when we were younger.

I just hope that she still remembers me...
