Raven's POV

I went back to the party and saw my sister talking to her fiancé, Prince Edward.

Along with the Prime Minister's son, Franz Haile accompanying him. They are said to be close since their fathers work together all the time.

It was a close call that I prevented such event from occuring. My sister would have been humiliated.

''Are you okay?'' Marvin asked

''That woman would've been done if she spilled it on Rebecca and not on you'' Karin said

''I agree with that knowing cousin's personality. She could've exploded any second'' Emman laughingly said

If Rebecca heard you, you'd be dead long ago.

I need a breather, that was too tiring to interfere between the heroine and the villainess.

''Hey let's sneak some sweets under the table'' Karin smiled as she proposed this childish idea.

''Are you five?'' Marvin laughed at Karin's idea

''You kill joy, you always join in anyways'' Emman smirked

''Sorry, I need a breather'' I said

''Ehhhh! that's surprising'' Karin exclaimed

''That's a first'' Emman said

''Well, I'm going to go talk to some ladies'' Marvin said as he went to a group of ladies

''See you later'' I said as I left Karin and Emman as they sneakily went under the buffet table.

I went outside and went to towards the fountain near the rose garden.

I gazed upon the moonlight as I recall tonight's events

I suddenly heard voices near the rose garden. It seems that a man and a woman is arguing.

''Lord Milton, I love you!'' I heard the woman said in a sad voice

''I only liked you and thought of you as someone close. The one I love is the Lady from Burton house'' the man said as he rejected the lady's confession.

''I don't love you'' he said in an emotionless manner.

The man was about to walk in my direction, so I hid.

He was about my sister's age. He had brown hair and almond eyes.

I went to see the lady after the man left.

She was crying as her legs gave up. I t looks like she is in too much pain, as she cried her heart out.

I couldn't just stand there, so I walked up to her.

''Here'' I said as I gave her my handkerchief.

She took my offer and wiped her tears. After a few minutes, she stopped crying.

''Thank you'' she softly said as she looked up to thank me.

This was the time I clearly saw her face. She had long black curls and beautiful ruby eyes that looks like it sparkled because of the tears in her eyes.

''No problem, I was just worried to see you crying all alone outside while people inside are still in the party'' I said to her as she calmed down a little bit.

I offered my hand to help her up and she took it.

''My name is Raven Rosevelt. I'm sorry for my late introduction, my lady'' I said

''I am pleased to meet you. I am-'' her sentence was cut off due to a person who seems to be looking for someone.

I think it's probably her.

''My Lady!'' the maid said as she took the lady's hand. She looks like she's in her late thirties.

''I was so worried that you disappeared in the middle of the party'' the maid said

''Sorry for interrupting young lord'' the maid said as she turned towards me

''It's fine'' I said

''My lady we must go'' the maid insisted

''For a while nanny'' the lady said

''Forgive me, but I must go. I am Diana Quinburow, please do visit our residence of Marquess Quinburow'' she said as farewell

''We must hurry home, the Marquess was worried sick'' she added and pulled the lady towards her and they walked out of the garden.

All I got was her name, but I felt my heart was beating so fast.

She was a beauty that was rivaled to no one in my eyes. I hope that I meet her soon.
