Coming of Age

Raven's POV

Today is finally the day of my debut to society.

I am officially twelve years old. There will be a lot of nobles attending the party.

I wore a blue suit that is totally opposite to my pink hair.

I prepared myself for my speech. It will be said right after the party begins.

I went out of the room and went outside.

My sister's room was slightly opened and I took a peek. She was dressed in a green dress and curled her pink hair

My sister noticed me and said,''You look human now. You looked like a peasant before, but your attitude is still the same as a monkey''

It's not like she changed a lot, not even a bit. She still has this rude personality of hers.

Time passed by as people went inside. They all stood still as I stood above the podium to give my welcoming address.

''Good afternoon everyone. I am Raven Rosevelt, today's new member of society. I am honored that many of you attended my party and to celebrate my coming of age ceremony as I turn twelve on this very day'' I said with a noble and majestic tone

''And with that I welcome everyone to the Rosevelt manor!'' I added

I went down as people greeted me

I saw Emman with Marvin and his sister, Karin.

''Congratulations in becoming a part of society'' Emman congratulated me

''We gave your gifts to the maid, they will bring it to your room'' Marvin added

''Where's your sister?'' Karin asked

''I don't even see her'' I answer

The music play in a very elegant tune. Then everyone took a look at the person who was at the stairs.

It was my sister in a very sparkling emerald gown. She definitely outdid everyone.

Anyone would think she's the main person of this party.

She went down to greet everyone and went to the podium.

''Good day, I am thankful that many of you attended my brother's party. I wish that my brother will have more blessings to come and a happier life'' my sister said as she offered a toast for my success

Time passed by as it became night time.

''Please gather and face the stage for the young master will have his mana awakening'' the butler said and the magic ball was prepared by a court magician

Everyone watched with thrill and excitement. Emman was beside me with Marvin and Karin. They were very supportive.

While Rebecca was standing at the other side with her minions.

''Please put your hands above the ball'' the court magician said

I followed as she instructed me and two colors were shown.

Red and white lights were glowing so brightly. It shocked most of the people.

''You have both fire magic and the rare light magic'' the court magician said in awe

''Impossible!'' Rebecca said as she disagreed with the results

''I believe it's true'' the court magician said

''How is it true? I demand an explanation!'' Rebecca had a fit

Rebecca just can't accept anyone who is more powerful than she is.

Only God knows...

The room was filled with gossips and faces of astonishment. People are thinking of what happened and thought that it was just a work of fiction.

''The magic ball used by the young master was the one used by Lady Denise who just did hers last week'' the court magician said

''It was used by you during yours too'' she added

''Woah, Our family has strong genes'' Emman said

''I greet this young master'' the court magician who had blue curly hair and eyes like the sea greeted me

''I am Odette Pearl. I am in division 2 of the court of magicians'' she said

''I appreciate it'' I answered

''Congratulations on your awakening. I'm afraid I can't stay any longer for I have to report the situation to the kingdom. You'll have a letter sent by the palace that will arrive within three days'' Odette said

''You really are gifted'' Emman said

''Proud to be your friend'' Karin said

''Might be more than friends'' Marvin said teasing his sister, but I won't mind it.

''Good job my son'' father said with a big smile

''I am so proud of you'' mother said with teary eyes

''We should get some rest'' I said

After I went upstairs, the people went home one by one.

I promised dad that I will go to town tomorrow to learn how business flows here. He must be thinking to make me inherit his work.

Today was tiring, I should get some rest and sleep to wake up early.

Who knows what adventures tomorrow brings.
