The Lady's Wish

Diana's POV

I went inside the carriage after I met Raven, the duke's son. I was so thankful for his presence as he comforted the rejected me.

He seemed so kind, kinda opposite to Lady Rebecca.

I hope to meet him soon.

''Lady Diana, where on earth have you been?'' my nanny asked

''I went outside to get some fresh air. You know I hate too many people gathering in one place'' I said as an excuse

''The Marquess was so worried, but he needed to go home early as your mother needs him by her side'' nanny said

My mother is actually bedridden. She is so pale and she once coughed blood, the whole mansion was worried about her health.

''I'm sorry, next time I will notify you about my location'' I said

After that I took a short nap, because I was tired after all that crying.

Raven's POV

I was left alone in the garden and I soon went inside back to the party.

The time is now a little bit past eleven. I saw Karin and Emman still eating below the buffet table.

Those gluttons never seem to get full.

''Raven....'' I saw Marvin who looks dejected

''Let me guess, you got rejected'' I said

''No, in fact it's the opposite'' He said

''What?!'' I was so surprised

Is this a prank? Why is he so glum?

''You see, I jokingly asked Princess Helen to be my date this Sunday'' he said looking like he aged ten more years

''You did what?'' I was shocked

I mean, even though I forgot most of the plots of the otome game's plot. I think there was never such development in the game.

Is this because of my interferance with today? I guess my actions made another event to occur.

''That's a good thing. Princess Helen is known to be one of the empire's top beauties'' I said to Marvin

''Wouldn't that mean I might get her brother's wrath?'' Marvin said

I suddenly remembered that the prince was actually a fool for his sister.

Poor guy, may you survive.

''Tell me, how do I survive this trial?'' he asked me as he deeply looked into my eyes, but I didn't have an answer so I just smiled

''Those sweets were delish'' Emman said as he approached us together with Karin.

Those gluttons acgually get full.

''Bro, what's wrong with you?'' Karin asked

''I think you should go. Your brother needs to rest'' I said

''Eh? Why? I haven't danced yet'' she protested

''You've had all those desserts, I also think you should go home early'' I said as I pushed Karin unto her brother.

They went out as Marvin looked like a freaking zombie, while Karin went with him with a sad look.

''Why the hurry?'' Emman asked

I told him what happened and he laughed so hard.

''That flirt deserved it, he messed with the wrong person'' Emman laughed

''He ain't lucky'' I said as a remark

''I already asked permission from uncle and dad. I'm sleeping here tonight'' Emman said

''Let's have a talk before we go to bed. Poor Marvin can't join us'' I said

''Hi!'' I heard a familiar voice and looked behind to see Cheska.

''Hi Cheska, I thought you were with your brother'' I greeted her

''Hello Lady Cheska'' Emman greeted

''Oh, please call me Cheska Lord Emman. A friend of Raven is also a friend of mine'' she said

''Call me Emman too'' Emman smirked

''Why are you here though?'' asked Emman

''Being with my brother is too boring. He is always with the prince'' she said

''It would've been fun if you also met Marvin and Karin'' I said

''You mean the siblings from the List Family?'' she said

''I am already acquainted with them, because of our mothers. They are best of friends'' she smiled as she said that

''Well that's a first'' Emman said

We chatted and laughed throughout the whole party. Emman joked around and we made many memorable memories.

The party soon ended and everyone went home after the prince went out.

Me and Emman talked all night and almost forgot to sleep.

''Goodnight Raven. Tonight was such a blast'' Emman softly whisphered as he walked out of the room.

''Goodnight'' I replied

I tucked myself to bed and my tired eyes automatically closed, because of the too many events that occured today.

I hope Rebecca will soon believe me and change.

Why is she so twisted inside, her beauty is so wasted.

I must work hard to avoid my destruction flag.
