Academy Life

Raven's POV

Today is the day that I will be leaving the dukedom. I will be going all alone in a new environment, and will be meeting new people. I gave myself comfort as I congratulated myself in making this far, but I also reminded myself to always be aware that any event from the otome game can occur.

I went inside the carriage as I bid my last goodbye to mom, dad, and my little brother, Richard. I opened the carriage's window and shouted goodbye. Poor Richard wanted to come as well.

It's so lonely without them, but Amell made me feel that I wasn't alone. It was actually of his annoying presence that made me feel that I had company. He talked too much.

"Hey Raven, when will we arrive?" Amell asked as he flew around

"The capital is only half an hour away from the manor" I stated

"Why do you have to live in a dorm if it is so close. You can basically commute from here to there" Amell asked

"It is one of the Academy's policies for nobles to live in the dorm in order to prove that they can also take care of themselves without the help of any servants from their household. Even the royal family cannot escape from the rule. the academy is strict and has no exemptions" I answered to his question to somewhat satisfy his curiosity

I answered him, but his questions doesn't seem to be disappearing. Instead my half hour ride to the academy felt like an eternity.

After the long carriage ride, I finally arrived in the capital. The coachman stopped as we need to walk towards the academy. Only students and high ranking officials can get inside. This includes the teachers and the royal family.

Speaking of the Royal Family, the prince is already on his last year and the princess is also enrolling this year. I wonder if we are going to be in the same class.

I walked towards the Academy Gates and the upperclassmen greeted us freshmen. There were also students recruiting freshmen to join their clubs.

"Woah! the academy has changed a lot" Amell exclaimed

" You've been here?" I asked

"Yeah, about a few decades ago before I met Frey" Amell said as he was in deep thought

"Guess who?" Someone jumped into my back as this person held his hands to cover my eyes

"Who is this silver haired lad?" Amell asked

"Emman?" I asked as I shoved off his hand

"You seem to have company, I'll return to the spirit realm. Call me if needed" Amell said as he doesn't want other's company when he is with me.

I saw Emman in his uniform along with Marvin. I would be in cloud nine if it were a girl, in the end it was just Emman.

"Congrats too us for making it into the Academy" Marvin said with a big smile on his face, Emman also smiled

"Did you check your classes yet? I'm in class 1" Marvin said

"You already saw it? Where is it posted?" Emman said

"It's on the board at the west side of the academy grounds" Marvin answered

"Let's check where we are placed" I said as we went there

We scanned the list of names in class one and saw Emman's name.

"I'm also in class one!" Emman exclaimed

I search for my name in class one, but it wasn't there. I eventually found it in class three.

"I'm in class three. We're going to be separated" I was dejected

"You'll be fine. It's not a bad thing, I mean we'll see each other during breaks" Marvin said

"We never know what dorm we will be in" Emman said

"Yeah we might be in the same room. Let's not get too depressed" I said with optimism

We went towards the left side of the academy where the boy's dorm is located. We went in line to get our dorm room's key.

"Let's not see our room's number yet, let's do it together" I said and they also agreed.

We patiently waited for each one of us to get our room keys. We were nervous to know the results and on Marvin's signal we opened our hands to unveil the key's number.

We each saw our room number and it was the same we got room 201. We went to the second floor after we expressed our joy. We stood outside of the door and we saw our names plated beside it. We also noticed that there was a name below us.

On the wall was written Rosevelt, Bronze, List and Crionne. There seems to be four of us in one room.

"Let's be quiet and be mannered. We aren't the only one here. Let's also welcome Lord Crionne as well" Marvin suggested as he opened the door.

The inside of the room was so big. the walls were painted white and the beds were in a sheet of white and black. It was almost like my room, but my room in the dukedom was better. I guess the academy lives up to its name and doesn't disappoint, since nobles are the ones living in the dorms. It is only natural that it will have a big budget.

"It seems that Lord Crionne still hasn't arrived" I said

"The room is pretty good for a dorm" Emman said

"Well, most of its tenants are nobles. It's only just that it looks like this" Marvin said

The room was spacious and had four single beds in each corner. It also had two shower rooms located near the door.

Once you enter the dorm you'll see two doors beside you and a path towards the beds. We each have a desk and a cabinet.

Marvin and Emman took the beds near the window and I took the one near the door and is beside Emman's bed. I guess Marvin and the other guy are going to be the one's by each other.

The door opened and we took a glance. there was a boy about our height with pale skin, green hair and eyes.

"Hello, I am Derreck Crionne. Son of a Count. Nice to meet you all" The young lord introduced himself.
