(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I wasn't sure how much time had passed as I rubbed (F/N)'s back slightly, hoping to alleviate a small bit of pain before I heard the sound of footsteps from somewhere behind me; (F/N) perked up at the sound, meaning that they were ones he recognized, which was astounding to think about. How is he able to tell the difference between people's footsteps? Does he just get used to it, or does he actively try to remember the sound of them? How many does he recognize? Probably only the ones of people important to him, since he knows a lot of people... and I mean it when I say "a lot"!

"Deku!"

Still rubbing (F/N)'s back, I turned at the sound of Uraraka's voice to see Midoriya walking down the steps, one of his arms in a sling as the other was wrapped up in bandages; for someone who went through a life-threatening battle, and then had surgery almost right after, he looked fine, despite the bandages. I'm always glad to see people I know doing okay!

"Hi, Midoriya." Asui moved her head to follow Midoriya as he made his way to his seat. "It looks like your surgery went okay."

"Yeah," Midoriya said, nodding his head as he sat down, "Recovery Girl healed me up enough to walk."

I saw the green-haired boy glance over at (F/N), his smile faltering as he noticed the pained expression on the goggles-wearing boy's face, but when he glanced over to me, all I could do was gesture to my ears and shrug, since this was just an unavoidable thing that was happening.

Midoriya held an unsure smile on his face as he turned his attention to the arena.

"Sure, but shouldn't you be taking it easy?" Uraraka asked, a concerned frown on her face.

"I wanna watch these matches in person." Midoriya's voice was stern, slightly shocking Uraraka, but I did notice as my best friend's posture relaxed a bit, which was understandable. "This is where everyone's efforts are finally gonna pay off."

(F/N) straightened up as soon as Midoriya finished speaking, slight pain still on his face.

It was obvious that my best friend also really wanted to watch the matches as they currently happened, even if it was a tad difficult for him to do so because of the overwhelming noise from the cheering crowd he was taking in; luckily for him, the noise level seemed to drop during the actual battles, making it easier for him to focus during them.

At least, I assumed it got easier, but I couldn't accurately tell since my hearing wasn't anywhere close to his.

I simply patted (F/N)'s back again, before turning to face the arena.

"The first match of the semi-finals! Both come from hero families, making this a battle of elites!"

My eyes glanced between the two competitors, and I knew I was going to be happy no matter who won. Sure, Todoroki wasn't my main choice during his last battle, but I clearly see now that he deserves a little more support in his life... well, a different kind of support in his life, if you can even call Endeavor's "encouragement" support...

"From the hero course, Iida Tenya! Versus, his classmate, Todoroki Shoto!"

There was a certain intensity between the two boys, but, unlike previous intense fights, I wasn't stressed about it.

"Start!"

Right off the bat, Todoroki sent out an ice attack towards Iida, which the class representative dodged by running to the side of the attack, straight towards the attacker. Todoroki sent another quick ice attack towards Iida, making the boy with the engine-legs change direction to narrowly avoid it.
