Heating Up and Cooling Down

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Shifting in my seat, I still felt a little tense from Uraraka's battle against Bakugo, which had only ended a few moments ago; unlike Midoriya's battle against Shinso, this one didn't hit any personal issues I had, but it wasn't comfortable to see the Quirk of (F/N)'s and my childhood bully used against another person. He normally just used it to intimidate people...

However, that was all over, so, now, I shouldn't have to stress over anything else.

That is, except for maybe any other battles Bakugo will be in. Why must someone so mean have such a scary Quirk?

"Hey, Bakugo!" Sero said, making me tense up a little when I realized Bakugo had returned to the stands, but I managed to calm myself down by remembering that he probably doesn't care about me... at all, "Playing the villain, huh? Must've been tough!"

"Even if it was just because of who you were up against-" Asui put a finger to her chin as she watched Bakugo make his way to his seat. "-you did make a pretty convincing bad guy."

I silently agreed with their statements, though part of me knew that Bakugo wasn't nearly as bad as a villain.

If he was, then he wouldn't bother trying to become a hero. And, besides, some heroes aren't exactly super nice people, I think... oh, like Endeavor! He's super scary, pretty rude, and didn't seem to care about me at all! ...hey, just like Bakugo!

"Shut up, you idiots, or else!"

(F/N) visibly tensed up at the sound of Bakugo yelling, but it appeared to be less serious than before; at this point, it would make sense that my best friend was slowly getting over his fear of his old childhood friend, like how I was, but that didn't make it any more pleasant to listen to him yell. He does seem less scary when surrounded by a bunch of people who aren't afraid of him... and don't worship the ground he walks on because he "has the best chance of becoming a hero"...

I wondered how all of my middle school classmates were doing. Too bad I never got their numbers...

"For real, dude-" Kaminari lazily pointed to Bakugo with one hand, slight concern in his actions. "-I dunno how you were able to aim a powerful blast at a frail girl like that."

My eyes widened as I looked at Kaminari, not believing what just came out of his mouth. How can he say that about Uraraka? She's not frail, and she held out longer than expected, but, of course the guy with the explosions coming out of his hands would win the fight... destruction beats zero gravity, at least nine times out of ten!

Kaminari leaned back in his seat, a frustrated frown on his face. "I couldn't help but hold back against Shiozaki."

"She completely overpowered you, Kaminari."

The electric boy tensed up at Asui's comment, annoyance in his body language. "Can't you just let me have this?"

A brief moment of silence passed as Bakugo sat down in his seat, clearly angry about something, though I wasn't sure of what, since all I could think was that he would be happy to be moving on in the tournament; however, Midoriya did leave earlier to prepare for his battle in the second round, so those two loose dots could be connected to form a picture to help deduce Bakugo's attitude, but I couldn't be too sure that it was the right picture. Bakugo gets annoyed at lots of things, and it does seem like most of them relate to Midoriya, but still... there could be another reason!

"I definitely wouldn't call that girl "frail"."

At the sound of Bakugo saying something at a normal volume that wasn't an insult or threat, my eyes widened, before I looked over to (F/N), seeing him stare at Bakugo with a shocked expression.
