"What?! A Quirk Assessment test?"

It was astounding to see all of my classmates in sync with each other, yet it was also a little creepy. At least it's easy to see that there's a good chance we'll all get along if everyone stays on the same page...

"But, orientation..." The girl with pink cheeks said, holding her fists up in front of her body, "We're gonna miss it."

"If you really wanna make the big leagues, you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies."

As my classmates gave small gasps at our teacher's words, I felt the familiar feeling of disappointment hit me like a brick to the face. To be honest, I had actually been looking forward to enjoying some time watching an official ceremony that a school like U.A. High could put on. I wanna see fancy school things with my own eyes! Like all that stuff you see on TV when the character, who presumably has an average life, goes to their super-rich, awesome school! I wanna get a taste of that life!

"Here at U.A., we're not tethered to traditions," Aizawa said, turning his head to glance at us, "That means I get to run my class however I see fit."

I could feel the uneasy auras emitting off of my classmates, though it was obvious that (F/N) was still not affected by our teacher's odd presence. I'm starting to take back how excited I was to have this guy as a teacher...

"You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives." Aizawa turned his body to better face us, before holding up his phone to show us its screen, though it was a little too far for me to properly see what was on it. "But you never got to use your Quirks in physical exams before."

I furrowed my eyebrows, not liking where this was all heading. My scores would still be the same if I used my Quirk! I mean, I could try to convince whoever's giving the tests to fudge my results, but I... I just can't bring myself to do that...

"The country's still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel." As Aizawa continued, I started to feel the familiar feeling of my heart dropping in my chest, which was never a good sign. "It's not rational. One day the Ministry of Education will learn."

After our teacher put his phone back into his pocket, he turned to face Bakugo. "Bakugo, you managed to get the most points on the entrance exam. What was your farthest distance throw with a softball when you were in junior high?"

"Sixty-seven meters, I think."

"Right... try doing it with your Quirk."

It didn't take long for everything to be set up for Bakugo to throw a softball, and I would be lying if I wasn't curious to what his new distance would be. His Quirk has something to do with explosions, right? That oughta really help to propel the ball forward...

"Anything goes, just stay in the circle..." Aizawa didn't seem to be as interested to learn his students' limits as I would have expected a hero teacher to be, but I assumed he just wasn't an enthusiastic person. "Go on, you're wasting our time."

Bakugo begun stretching his arms, a stern frown on his face. "Alright, man, you asked for it."

As he reeled up to throw the softball, I clasped my hands together, fully expecting to have my socks blown off.

With a loud battle-cry of "die", Bakugo emitted a large explosion from his hand, causing the ball to go flying way farther than I had ever seen; the circular object nearly disappeared in the distance, it now becoming a small pinprick of white that descended towards the ground. ...I used to be scared of this boy, but now... I can say that I'm terrified!
