(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Begin!"

At the sound of Midnight's voice, I bolted forwards, pulling along (F/N) by his wrist; a quick glance showed me that the goggles-wearing boy was attempting to keep up with me, though he kept stumbling every few steps, which did cause me to have to slow down a little to prevent him from falling down and pulling me down with him.

To my luck, it seemed like slowing down was helpful in this situation, as it seemed like the other students jammed the doorway to the track, since they were all attempting to push on through.

However, staying at the back of the pack wasn't going to be helpful later on in the Obstacles Race.

I needed to figure out a way to force myself and (F/N) to the front of the crowd. But, how can I do that? I'm weak!

The sound of annoyed and angry yells caught my attention, and I looked back to the crowd, only to notice that ice was now covering the walls and ground of the hallway near the opening to the track; it didn't take long to guess where it came from, but a smile came to my face when I realized that this would make it a lot easier to push my way to the front.

Adjusting my grip on (F/N)'s wrist, I looked to him with a smile. "Hey, how well can you walk on ice?"

"I've never done it-" (F/N) put his free hand up to his chin. "-but I'd probably be horrible at it."

"Well, time to find out if you're right," I said, before pulling him into the crowd of students. Okay, this should be easy, but I've got to just make sure to not anger anyone along the way...

As I gently nudged my way past the various U.A. students, I sent an apologetic smile towards them as I muttered a few apologies when accidentally nudging them too hard, while (F/N) simply gave them a few words of encouragement, though he soon switched over to apologies when he started to have to use the other students as balancing points when we got to the ice-covered ground.

When we finally arrived to the front of the crowd, our speed decreased dramatically, and we latched onto each other in an awkward hug as we tried using each other as support. Come on, we can shuffle our way to victory!

I took my eyes off of the ice for a second to glance ahead, seeing plenty of my classmates rushing forwards.

However, I noticed some of them, such as Midoriya and Uraraka, around the same area as (F/N) and me. Of course, we all don't have Quirks that make it easy to travel on icy landscapes... unlike people like Bakugo, Ashido, or... is that Aoyama?

I was fairly certain I recognized the sparkly laser of the blond Frenchman, but my focus was quickly returned to (F/N).

He nearly fell onto his butt, but I managed to keep him upright as I secured him in my hug, and he quickly latched onto me again, having loosened his grip on me to prevent me from falling with him. Alright, we have to keep moving forward!

"(F/N), let's try to slide forward using momentum... like, uh, like this!" I said, firmly planting my outermost leg onto the ice and swiping it back, which helped to push us forward a small bit, and caused (F/N) to tighten his grip around me again as his frown deepened. I patted his back with one of my hands, adjusting us into a side-hug-like position. "Hey, hey, I've got you, buddy. We're going to be fine if we just work together, alright? We can take this slow, if you want."

"N-no, we... we have to go faster to get further into the games..." (F/N) adjusted himself into the side-hug position, but I noticed as his free hand grabbed onto my free hand, "Just... just keep rhythm for me, okay?"
