(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
"Now that everyone's decided on their hero names, we can go back to talking about your upcoming internships."
As I directed my attention towards Aizawa, I clasped my hands together in my lap, my grip loose; there was still a hint of nervousness present in my mind from presenting my hero name, but I was starting to finally relax myself fully. Maybe my next personal goal should be getting rid of my fear of talking in front of large groups of people... which is honestly something that I should have worked on a long time ago!
"They'll last for one week." Aizawa had a small stack of papers in his hands, while Midnight stretched her arms as she stood next to him. "As for who you'll be working with, those of you who were on the board will choose from among your offers. Everyone else will have a different list."
Aizawa took the top paper off of the stack in his hands, slightly showing it to the class. "You have a lot to think about."
I tried my best to see what was on the paper, but was unable from how far I was and how small the text was. I... I think that's the list for everyone else, right?
"There're around forty agencies across the country who've agreed to take on interns from your class."
My eyes widened slightly, as I wasn't expecting there to be that many agencies for people to choose from. I guess that it makes sense to have such a large amount to choose from... since a smaller amount could possibly lead to agencies being overwhelmed with interns... and that wouldn't help anyone!
"Each agency has a different specialty that its heroes focus on. Keep that in mind."
"Imagine that you were Thirteen," Midnight said, making me look at her, "You'd want to choose a place that focuses on rescuing people, not fighting villains. Understand?"
I nodded slightly, though I knew that I didn't really have much of a choice in what I chose. I only got a single offer...
My attention moved back over to Aizawa, his stern expression being the exact opposite to the relaxed smile that was on Midnight's face.
"Think carefully before you decide."
"Yes, sir."
With that, the people who received offers were handed their special lists of choices, and everyone else got a list of the forty agencies that agreed to take on any interns, if anyone chose them; my eyes scanned over the text on my list that read "the Audio and Video Hero Agency", and I couldn't help but wonder why (F/N)'s parents gave me an offer. I know (F/N) got an offer because he's... well, he's their son, and his Quirk is also the type they focus on, but why give me an offer?
I wasn't sure on whether or not they just gave me an offer because it would make (F/N) happy, or because they thought that I would do well in their line of work. ...maybe it's because their work isn't as dangerous as other heroes?
Because I was "Quirkless", it made sense that they thought it would be a good idea to send me to an agency that didn't specialize in fighting villains or doing extremely risky things. Most of the A&V Hero Agency's work consisted of patrolling, investigating crime scenes, performing rescue missions to areas with little light like collapsed mines and subway tunnels, and occasionally lending sidekicks to other agencies who needed a specific type of Quirk to progress with their work.
Of course, another important part of the A&V Hero Agency was that it was... basically nocturnal, for the most part.
While it did do work during the day, so that it could lend help to other agencies if they needed it, it basically was one of the only agencies to take the night shift, due to the type of Quirks that the people working there had. Geez, how long does it take for the people working there to get used to sleeping all day and working all night?
