Time Waits For No One... But Patience is a Virtue

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

After slinging my backpack over my shoulders, I made sure to double-check that I had everything I needed; on a normal school day, all I would have done was check once and called it good, but today wasn't a normal school day for me. Today is an all-new experience for me...!

This was the first day I would be attending school with a publicly-known Quirk.

It... was kind of a big deal. I mean, nothing's really changed, but... it just feels like everything's changed!

As I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I pulled it out, and turned on the screen to see that I was still receiving a lot of messages from (G/N). She had been sending me frequent texts since yesterday evening, right after I called her and told her about my Quirk being found out, and, while I appreciated her offers to "act like a bodyguard against those folks who throw a tantrum over it", the amount of attention she was giving me was almost overwhelming.

This was in contrast to Shinso, who simply asked a few questions about the talk I had with the principal, before telling me to just stay calm, not purposely draw attention to my situation, and everything should be okay.

Though their support towards me was vastly different, I was glad to have both of them on my side, no matter what.

Not having time to respond to any of (G/N)'s texts, and expecting to talk with her when I got to school anyway, I put my phone back into my pocket, still feeling it vibrate. My phone's never gotten this many notifications from one person before...

I was now ready to leave the house, pick up (F/N), and head to school.

That is... except for one last thing.

Turning my head, my eyes met with my parents, who were standing in the entrance to the kitchen.

Both of them were looking at me, concerned and hesitant expressions on their faces, seeming as if they wanted to say something, but were unsure of what to say; unlike most mornings, they had been oddly quiet, and appeared to get caught in their own thoughts every few minutes or so. There was also the whole fact of my father still being home, since he normally left for work before I would head out to go to school.

With my gaze now directed towards them, my parents averted their eyes from me, small frowns on their faces.

"...are you two... okay?"

The sound of my voice, a bit quieter than it normally was, made my parents flinch, and I let out a sigh.

After coming home yesterday, and because I still had some confidence left from the talk with the principal, I found that I was able to finally confess the truth of my Quirk to my parents, no longer feeling as scared as I was before. The talk that I had with them was... not as difficult as I thought it would be, though it also wasn't as easy as I hoped, since my father burst into tears twice, and my mother found herself exclaiming that she knew there was something up with me.

There was also a lot of hugs from the both of them, and the most difficult thing to deal with was getting them to let go of me, so that I could continue with my normal evening routine. I was sure that, even though I may have seemed annoyed at my parents hugging me so much, they both knew that I was happy that they didn't doubt my words.

Besides that, my overall memory of the event was fuzzy, which was most likely because my mind was already tired out from using Charm earlier that day, and because of the high emotional atmosphere of the talk itself.
