(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

As I walked along the sidewalk with (F/N) by my side, a smile was on my face while I looked down at my phone to see the newest message from (G/N) in a conversation that we were having; after I woke up, still a little tired from yesterday, I noticed that she sent me a text about how she was hoping I felt better today. Geez, she's so nice!

I sent back a reply that, while I felt just a bit drained, I was doing okay. Too bad I couldn't sleep-in a little, though...

That lead to the two of us continuing to text each other as we got ready for our days, and the conversation was still as strong as it started even as we headed to school, mostly due to (G/N)'s frequent texting.

I was the type of person to usually send one message, but she kept sending three or more in a row.

As for the actual content of her texts, besides checking up on me, she mentioned that she had gotten a bit of attention from strangers due to her U.A. uniform as she walked to school; it seemed like a lot of people were more conscious of any U.A. students around them after the sports festival, and (G/N) had told me that Shinso was approached a lot specifically.

It seems like the students that were in the tournament would be getting a lot of attention in the coming days.

This made me happy for them, and I felt proud to be in a class full of such talented students.

"Hey, uh, (Y/N)?"

I looked up from my phone, which was displaying a message that I was in the middle of typing. "Yeah, (F/N)?"

My best friend turned his head to face me while the umbrella he was holding over the both of us wavered slightly, but it was big enough to allow for some wiggle room; my main focus was on (F/N), who had a small frown on his face.

"It's just... you've been awfully quiet this whole walk. Is... is something wrong?"

"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow, before glancing down at my phone, and back up to (F/N). "...oh. Oh! Oh, no, nothing's wrong, I was just busy texting (G/N)! She's not only very talkative in person, but is the exact same way when texting. I sometimes can't even say anything before she's sent another message..."

(F/N) let out a small hum, tilting his head. "...honestly, I don't getting texting. Why not just call each other?"

"Dude, phone calls are the worst... usually."

"Why? It's basically just talking to a person, except you're not face-to-face with them. You can hear them, but you can't see them." The blindfolded boy let go of my sleeve, gesturing to his blindfold for a moment before grabbing my sleeve once more. "It's like my daily life... except that you're hearing their voice over a speaker, rather than in-front of you, or next to you, or behind you... still, almost the same."

I finished the message I was writing, before sending it to (G/N) and looking over to my best friend again.

"I can't speak for everybody, but..." I glanced briefly at my phone as another message from (G/N) appeared. "...my entire thing with it is that I can't see how the person's feeling. For obvious reasons, I try to pay attention to how people are feeling when I talk to them, but, over the phone, it's hard to guess what they're feeling, since they can make themselves sound like they're happy, even if they're not. Of course, I actually have no effect on people over the phone, but, still, it's weird."

(F/N) shook his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. "But... you can't see people when you're texting, either."

"Yeah-" I nodded, a small smile on my face. "-but it's less stressful than talking over the phone, 'cause it's not expected for you to give instant replies. Also, you can revise what you wanna say before you send it, as many times as you want."
