Sonia wastes no time hitting me with a smug smirk as soon as my butt touches one of the many chairs littered in the library. I've just rushed from my class to meet both her and Macy, mainly to catch them up on my drama. We would've done this sooner but Sonia didn't come back until late last night and it was unfair to exclude Macy from the talk.

And if we're being honest, Sonia's only okay with meeting at a non-quiet floor in the library because she's dying for gossip after her dry week with family.

"So," she smirks, pinning me with her cat-like gaze. "A little birdie told me that she overheard something interesting when she was on the phone with you. Something along the lines of a Brit."

My jaw drops as I look at Macy in disbelief. "Macy! You snitched?"

She throws up her hands defensively. Her eyes are swirling with innocence as she slowly chips away at my resolve. "I'm sorry! I couldn't hold it in for much longer."

She's good, but not good enough. "I didn't tell her about your news," I pettily say.

Her cheeks turn the slightest shade of red. I watch in awe as something flares in her eyes. She straightens her shoulders and turns to Sonia with a determined look. "Hey Sones, did you know that I'm a redhead?"

I quickly realize what her tactic is and watch in amusement.

Sonia, clearly confused, gives her a blank look in response. "Yeah. Ellie talks about it all the time. So?"

"She does?" A distant look crosses Macy's face as she tries to recall the specific moments I called her by the color of her hair. Then she shakes away her thoughts and redirects her attention to Sonia. "Well, I just found out last week! I also learned that you're brown."

Ah, that makes sense. Macy had been looking wide-eyed at everything since she entered the library. It had completely slipped my mind that this was all new for her. It's crazy that so much has happened in a week.

"Macy," I snort. "You can't call people by the color of their skin."

She waves me off as if it isn't a real concern. She then looks Sonia dead in the eyes and says, "And I'm obsessed with your blue top."

For minutes, we sit in a silent confusion.

I can't take it anymore. I'm impatient as is. "Oh my God, Sonia! She found her soulmate," I explain, half annoyed that she's being so slow today.

Macy pouts. "El! I wanted to tell her!"

I immaturely stick my tongue out at her. "That's what you get for telling her about Harry." Petty? Yes.

We both simultaneously remember Sonia and turn to face her. She has a dumbfounded expression as she stares at the redhead. Then, slowly, a grin spreads across her face. I let out a silent sigh of relief.

"Oh. My. God!" she squeals as she rounds the table and practically falls into Macy's lap as she hugs her. "Who is it? Do they go here? Holy shit!"

"Good thing we aren't on the quiet floor," I tease as Sonia squeezes the life out of Macy. "Okay, okay. I think that's enough. Don't kill the poor girl!"

Sonia lets go and sheepishly smiles at her. "Sorry. Now, tell me about him! Or her... we don't judge, although I'd be very surprised."

I laugh at her lack of patience. Macy gets a dreamy look in her eyes as she talks about her soulmate. Her lips even involuntarily twist into a smile.

For a second, I'm hit with a familiar pang in my chest.

Why'd you do it? Why'd you push him away? a nasty voice whispers in my ears.
