Harry decided he wanted to have another date.
I don't mind, obviously. I love spending time with him. But this time he refuses to give me any hint of what we're doing. I don't think he realizes how much a girl stresses over these things. Are we going somewhere fancy or casual? What shoes do I wear? Do I need to pack swimming clothes?
"What's gotten you in a good mood?" Laine asks suspiciously as I walk around the kitchen dressed in a sweater, jeans, and boots. Fall's finally hitting in full force and the weather is pretty chilly for once.
"Harry," I hum as I wash my mug of finished coffee.
"Should've known." Although I can't see his face, I imagine his smirk. "Are you two going out tonight?"
"Yes sir."
"Ooh, fun!" He grins, lightly nudging me with his shoulder. "So you're not just sitting at home, eating takeout?"
These past few weeks, that's exactly what Harry and I have been doing. He refused to go anywhere in public with me until I had a talk with my mom. I still haven't really decided on what to do. So we just chill at my place or his place. I don't mind though.
"Who knows? He won't tell me," I sigh, slightly frustrated. I just want to be prepared for whatever's in store for me.
"That's tough," he teases. There's a knock on the door. Before I can get it, Laine runs toward it like a child. I roll my eyes and continue drying the dishes. "Ellie, Harry's here," he yells.
"Okay, one sec," I call back, rolling my eyes.
Seconds later, I feel a pair of toned arms wrap around my waist. Butterflies flutter in my belly as I tip my head back to see Harry. He grins and kisses my lips before setting his chin on my shoulder. I finish my stuff up and turn in his arms to face him.
"Hey, handsome." I cup his face and plant a kiss on his lips. He grins and pulls me closer for more but I give him the cheek. "Not until you tell me what we're doing tonight."
He pouts but stays silent. I shake my head and wiggle out of his grip.
Laine gawks at us. More specifically, at Harry.
"Stop drooling over my soulmate," I snort, patting him in the shoulder.
He momentarily breaks out of his trance to glare at me. "You're just jealous I don't stare at you like that."
Ouch. "Fuck off."
He laughs, clutching his stomach as he does. "Don't worry El, you'll always be the girl who didn't have sex with me."
"I can't believe you fucked your way through a whole sorority but realized you were gay when it came to me..." I mutter, slightly offended.
Okay, very offended.
"Yeah," he smiles, looking out in the distance. "It's unfortunate, isn't it?" I smack his stomach and mimic his words.
Harry clears his throat and possessively puts his hand in mine. Ironically, my roommate's drooling over him but he still feels the need to be jealous. Laine and I share a glance before giggling. We seem to be having the same thoughts.
"Alright, we should go," I drawl, rolling my eyes at Laine. He only winks back which makes Harry's grip tighten on me.
Lovely.
He holds it in until we're outside my apartment door. "I don't like you living with him."
"Relax Harry, he's gay," I snort as we walk down the stairs.
