I'M SO SORRY MY LAPTOP DECIDED TO STOP WORKING AND IT'S AT APPLE RIGHT NOW. I STOLE MY MOM'S COMPUTER FOR THIS!!!

"Today's the day!" I grin as soon as I enter the office.
"Yes, we know, Ellie. You've only been talking about your boyfriend's music video for the past week," Danny exasperatedly sighs.
Even his mood can't bring me down. I head on over to his desk and plop down a hot coffee. He looks like he wants to take back his words, but my smile is so big that he realizes I don't even care.
"It's not just about my boyfriend. You act like we haven't worked on the project too," I point out as I set my own coffee on my desk and head over to Daff's office.
One knock. Two knocks.
"Enter."
I roll my eyes at her curt tone before cracking the door open. When I'm assured she isn't doing anything weird – with Alex hanging around, who knows? – I come in and place her coffee on her desk. Much to my surprise, Alex isn't here.
After that whole engagement fiasco, I couldn't really tell what happened between the two. It's like they had reverted back to the time where we didn't know they were soulmates. He wasn't coming around anymore, but Daff wasn't crying over her desk either, so I didn't know what this meant. It didn't help that Alex was apparently super busy with work that he didn't have time to chat.
I'm pretty sure that was an excuse to avoid me.
A sigh leaves my lips when I realize her finger is still ringless. I wish I knew what was going on but I asked once and Daff gave me that shut up look, so I never tried again.
"You're coming to the launch party with us, right?" Daff asks, her eyes never straying from the computer.
I nod even though she can't see me. "Yup. Harry has to go early, so it's just us. The three musketeers."
"Don't call me that."
"Two musketeers and their boss, then," I grin. She glances up to give me a suspicious look, then looks back down again. "Alright. Shout if you need me."
"Oh, actually. I need you to double-check the Yates accounts. Something about that lady doesn't sit well with me."
I make a mental note. "Got it. Anything else?"
"I think Twitter reached out asking if I wanted to do a live Q&A. Find more details and forward them to me."
I nod and escape her office before she can pile more tasks on me.
"I'm sorry," Danny blurts as I slump down at my desk. "I'm not irritated at you. I'm glad to see you happy."
I give him a casual flick of the wrist, dismissing his worries. "I'm not offended at all. In fact, I have been talking a lot about the music video. But it could've been anyone's music video and I'd still be excited. Imagine the publicity we'd get!"
That's like 99% true. Taking full creative control of backup models for a music video, especially for someone as trendy as Harry Styles, gives Daffodil a lot of credibility in the makeup world. Not only does that mean more opportunities, but also that means a potential raise. I'm not saying that I completely deserve it but without me, Harry never would've pushed for Daff...
I'm also proud of my lovely boyfriend for being so accomplished. That's something that's a given. Who wouldn't want a successful soulmate? But money or not, his mind is so brilliant that sometimes I want to crack his skull open and steal his creativity.
