"Danny boy," I sing as I plop down a coffee onto his desk. The beverage splashes against the lid but luckily none slips out.

He looks up at me in surprise, then eyes the coffee suspiciously. "You're strangely in a good mood..."

I lean on his desk and grin like an idiot. I am in a good mood. For some reason, Harry walking me home last night put me in an amazing mood. We were able to finally joke around without making things tense. Ever since I got into my apartment, I haven't been able to stop cheesing. Even Laine pointed it out as I helped him practice for his interview.

"What, I can't bring my favorite guy some coffee?" I gasp, feigning offense.

His eyes widen and he quickly shakes his head. "No, no! I didn't mean it like that."

I laugh lightly, the sound filling the office space. I never thought I'd willingly laugh at the same place I work. Or anyone, for that matter. "I just thought you always do something for me. It's time I return the favor. I know it's not the same as bringing my favorite meal at midnight but-"

"It's even better," he assures, cutting me off. "You have no idea how tired I am. I needed this coffee."

I playfully slap his desk. "Well, there you go! Glad to be of service!"

Wow, I'm really in a good mood.

I can't help it. My heart literally feels lighter. I should be concerned about the amount of happiness a smell gesture from Harry caused but I couldn't care less right now.

I'm on cloud nine.

"Elizabeth! Come in here!" Daffodil's stern tone is muffled by the door of her office.

"Even she can't bring down my mood today," I tell Danny before straightening up and patting his head. "The witch awaits. I'll see you soon."

As soon as I enter Daffodil's large office, I'm hit with the smell of lavender. My eyes drift over to the incense on her desk and nod in understanding.

"Why are you smiling?" Her voice is mixed with curiosity and accusation, like I've done something naughty. My eyes float over to see her sitting at her desk. Her chestnut hair is tied in a messy bun. Her makeup is impeccable as always. Since we're not heading out anywhere today, she's dressed in a casual sweater and jeans.

"I'm always smiling," I say defensively as I sit in one of the faux leather seats in front of her sleek white desk.

"Not like that, you don't. Normally you look... tolerable. Now you just look happy and it makes me nauseous."

I nod and attempt to straighten out my lips but I fail as they quirk upward. She sighs and rolls her eyes before redirecting her attention to her monitor.

"We need to discuss this week's agenda. How are we coming along with the Dempsey collab? Also, I needed those Sunset Look pictures like yesterday."

I pull out my planner and laptop, settling it on her desk and pulling up everything I need. "I'm going to send you the collab terms right now." I do as I say and hear the swish sound of the email sending from my laptop. "And as for the pictures... I don't have them," I finish with a meek tone.

She looks at me in surprise. I don't blame her either. Not having my job done early, let alone on time, is a surprising feat.

"You don't have it? How come?" She frowns. "Look, if you're falling behind then-"

"No!" I quickly interrupt. I know she'll end that sentence with the threat of firing me. "My wifi broke and I didn't have the time to edit the pictures," I lie. I was so caught up in Harry's words and Laine's mock-interview that I didn't have the time. "I promise I'll finish it up today."
