"Are we there yet?"

"Lee Donghyuck if you ask me one more time I will drive this car off of the nearest cliff." Johnny groaned, rubbing his temples with his free hand.

"Maybe I should have hired a driver after all." Iseul guiltily sighed.

"No, it's alright. We already spent so much money for the lodging so you can leave the driving to us." Johnny assured. He glanced at the girl who just nodded.

"Sungchan can you put the AC up because I feel myself baking back here." Jungwoo politely asked.

"Alright." The boy responded, doing as requested.

Lady luck always seemed to be testing Iseul's patience as for some reason for letting him pick the car she was in. It was a good thing the venue of the practice match wasn't too far from the city. Otherwise, she would have moved to another car.

What irked her even more was how he brought his new girlfriend along. It irked her at how sweet they were being.

Someone else, huh?

She glanced over at Yuta who was fast asleep, his head leaning against the window. He had his airpods in and his arms crossed, making the girl wonder if it was uncomfortable. She took the small pillow that rested on her lap and tried her best to put it between Yuta's head and the window without waking him.

"You don't want any bruises on your forehead." She mumbled, her slender fingers brushing his bangs to the side.

"Iseul, I brought some candies. Do you want some?" Sungchan offered. "I'll give you the last of my favorite one."

"Of course." Iseul leaned forward and got the sweets from his hand. She mumbled a quiet thank you and didn't hesitate to eat one.

Out of all the new members, she was definitely more attached to Sungchan. She didn't know why, but she just found him adorable as her fellow 'deer.'

They arrived to the lodging area ten minutes later. The boys piled out the cars as they immediately ran to claim their room. Iseul left them be, choosing to unload the cars first. Daeun would murder anyone who tries to take the room she picks.

"A lady shouldn't be doing heavy lifting like that." Jungwoo frowned, walking up to her. He tried to take the bag she carried, but Iseul didn't let him.

She needed to man up.

"I don't need you worrying about me. Not you of all people." She declined, putting the bag down with the rest. "Go kiss pay attention to your girlfriend or something. That's what you're best at right?"

"Why so hostile? I was just trying to help." He defended, raising his hands in defense.

"Then help yourself to the door. I can do this alone." Iseul asserted

"Are you and Yuta really dating? Or are you using him to make sure we don't get back together? Is he the one who told you to cut your hair?" He speculated. He closed the distance between them, standing too close for her liking. "It doesn't suit you. Do you really think it did?"

Did it seem obvious? Was it her fault for being so awkward? Was their cover blown?

If I were you, I wouldn't be scared. Giving the expected reaction would only fuel them more.

What am I supposed to say? How am I supposed to reply to this?

"Do you really think, he can actually love you? Don't you think he would leave you too? Do you think he can understand why you're the broken mess you are now? Jung Iseul, aren't you thinking too highly of yourself? You're just like your mother. "

She felt something in her trigger as pure rage and shame burned in her like a fire. Her heartbeat was erratic as she felt her hands shake, itching to slap Jungwoo's face. A presence at the doorway goes unnoticed by the two.

"Take that back." She managed to say. "Is that all you can use against me? Things I trusted you with? You can attack me, but don't you dare talk shit about my mom. You don't have the right to bring my past or my mom's past. Someone like you doesn't have a say in it."

"I've seen it all happen. I was there for you. Did you forget Iseul? Do you think cutting your hair is enough to get rid of your emotional ties with me? I'm the only one who can love you whole."

"What's going on here?" Yuta questioned. He stood by the cottage door with his usual blank expression. "Back away from her, Jungwoo."

"Oh. I'm just joking around with Iseul. She seemed down and thought I should cheer her up." Jungwoo smiled brightly, almost as if he hadn't been glaring holes into her. "Right, Seul?"

Iseul said nothing and just continued what she was doing. Her system was shutting down and she wanted to do nothing but disappear. Jungwoo's lip twitched a bit as he decided to laugh it off and excuse himself.

"Are you alright, Bambi? Did he do anything to you?" Yuta asked as soon as they were alone.

"He didn't." She lied.

Yuta's eyes narrowed. "You're lying."

"Look, even if he said anything I don't want to talk about it. Stop acting like you care, okay? We're just using each other for the benefit of the contract." Iseul snapped at him. "Leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone right now."

There was a pause, a very long and uncomfortable pause. They locked gazes, both parties unable to read each other. Yuta left without another word, entering the cottage and closing the door behind him.

Iseul kicked her suitcase before crouching down, hiding her face in her hands. No tears came as much as she wanted to cry. She muttered all the profanities she knew under her breath repeatedly like a mantra.

Kim Jungwoo. He knew just what to say to hurt her. He knew how to get to her head and piss her off. He knew so well how to get under her skin and straight to her heart.

"I won't forgive you anymore."

"Jungwoo." Taeil softly called to his younger friend. Jungwoo hummed in acknowledgement, turning over to his side to face his roommate. "What are you trying to do? We heard what you told her."

"Me? Trying to play this game. Why?" Jungwoo held up his phone momentarily to show his screen.

"Why are you trying to force your way back into her life? Are you really trying to take advantage of how kind she is? Haven't you done enough damage to her life?" Taeil questioned.

"I want her back. Is that too much?" Jungwoo answered nonchalantly. Taeil rolled his eyes in disbelief.

"Of course you can say that when you have one of your bitches sleeping in your bed with you."

"Why? Are you feeling guilt too? Remember, I'm not the only one who fucked up her life. You all helped me." Jungwoo reminded, getting up from his bed. He walked up to Taeil, almost towering over him. "I need to make her cry if it's the last thing I do. That's the only way we'll get over the pain and humiliation."

Taeil didn't falter, standing straight and pointing a finger at the younger boy. "You're obsessed."
