Iseul's father took more than just her tears and faith in love. He took her confidence in herself and gave her this of fear abandonment. She never expects anyone to stay and tries her best to keep a distance from them. When she grows attached, she'd constantly live in this fear she would be abandoned.

That's what she learned from her mother. That's what she sees as love. To her, you must do what it takes to try to convince that person you love you are worth it.

That's exactly what Jungwoo exploited.

He took advantage of her fear and tore her apart from the inside. He started off sweet, but we never really noticed his little petty threats to Iseul.

It started off with her appearance, making her uncomfortable and losing her confidence in her physical appearance. He made her speak less and blamed her on why she wasn't enough. He slowly tried to cut us off knowing we were her lifeline.

He made sure we didn't know what was going on and he continued to tear her apart in the guise of love. He lied to her and manipulated her in subtle ways no one would see the red flags until it was too late.

Jungwoo had almost everyone around him wrapped around his finger and kept us in the dark. He slowly tried to distance Iseul from us so she wouldn't have an outlet. So that no one could help her get through what he did to her.

The scariest part is I don't even know why he did this to her. What his motive is to be such a horrible person. No matter who you are or what happened to you, hurting others to soothe yourself or for any other reason will never make it justified.

But how can we put all the blame on Iseul? Her whole childhood she learned what love is about through the bickering of her parents and her mother's desperation to keep their family whole. She can unlearn it, but how is she supposed to do so if  she's always gaslighted? How is she supposed to unlearn something she hasn't acknowledged?

Do you know how much I blame myself when Iseul ran away?  Do you know how scared I was when she showed up at my doorstep to tell me the news and disappear after telling me she didn't want to live anymore?

You guys started dating from a contract but... I can see how much she loves you and how much she's grown with you. Happiness looks great on you too, so please continue to look after her. I couldn't do much for her before, so you better do more.

Yuta's eyes scouted the vast field for any sign of his team. He was sure they were somewhere around here if the orientation finished. He couldn't get a hold of Iseul and assumed her phone was on silent.

"Um excuse me." A girl called, walking up to him with who he thinks is her friend. Yuta was sure they were probably from another school that came to cheer their team or look for guys.

"The bleachers are over there and there's a bathroom in that building. The school cafeteria is that building over there." He directed. He spotted his red hoodie from afar and couldn't bite back a smile.

"No, I was wondering if I could maybe get your-"

"I have a girlfriend." Yuta declined, walking past them. He went straight to her, pulling her into a back hug. "Hi bambi."

"What took you so long?" She asked. She looked up at him with a loving smile and she could swear she could see the hearts in her lover's eyes. She waved her hand in front of his face in hopes of getting him back on earth. "Earth to Yu."

"Daeun asked me what she get Doyoung for their two year anniversary." He lied. Although he swore not to tell her, he still felt bad for telling a lie. It didn't feel right. "Where are the other boys?"
