this isn't proofread because my eyes hurt from my thesis TT

"My clothes look nice on you, but I want that hoodie back."

Yuta glanced at her briefly before putting his eyes back on the wet road. He didn't know why but the sight of her wrapped in a blanket made him want to add more layers. He joked about it once and declared then he would one day make a bambi-rrito.

"You have a game tomorrow, Yu. I'd rather be cuddling in bed than be out here." Iseul spoke up. She was against leaving his apartment at first, but he promised to buy her ice cream. He did as promised and bought her the sweet treat but he didn't say anything about bringing her back.

"We're almost there, bambi. I think you'll like where we're going." Yuta assured.

"Keyword is think. You never know." Iseul commented. She sunk down into her seat and deeper into the blanket around her. "I'm so tired."

"I promise to buy you more ice cream on the way home. I'll even throw in a cookie so please sit down properly. If I step on the brake you'll get choked by the seatbelt."

"I have an unfinished essay to pass anyway." Iseul grumbled.

"Min Iseul."

"Iseul who? I only know Bambi." Iseul scoffed, crossing her arms under the fluffy blanket. Yuta rolled his eyes at her behavior. The car came to a stop under a tree not too far from the railing.

"We're here."

Iseul instantly recognized their location. It was where they first met. Yuta was already one step as he stepped out the car to open her door. She joined Yuta outside as she continued to look at the nostalgic place. He held an umbrella over them, tilting it slightly to cover her completely.

"Why are we here?" She asked.

"I thought you'd want to come here for some fresh air. It became my little runaway place whenever I need to let out some emotions." Yuta explained. The two stopped before the railing to look over the gloomy sea of trees. "That day. It was Jungwoo who came searching for you, right?"

"Are you going to jump?" Yuta hesitantly asked. The girl was leaning over the railing dangerously. One wrong step and she could fall to her death.

"A problem like this isn't worth dying for. Life goes on, right?" The stranger mumbled. Yuta's heart softened at her sorrowful eyes. "The only thing that should die right now are these feelings I have."

"Just making sure." He mumbled. Without another word, he tossed the ball he had down the cliff. It bounced around the rocks before disappearing into the green sea of trees.

He did it, but why does it still hurt?  Why did he feel so conflicted over something he decided on? Soccer was the reason why he missed his father's final moments.

"Why are you getting rid of that?" She asked, trying to spot where the ball landed. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

"I... don't have a reason to play anymore. I lost the person I want to make proud." Yuta answered, hiding his face in his scarf.

His number one supporter and the reason why he plays was gone. What else did he have to play for?

"Then why not try playing for yourself? I don't mean to be rude or assume too much, but don't you think that person would still want you to play?" She suggested.

Will I be able to play for myself?

He looked down at his shaking hands, trying to calm him nerves. He was sure if his father were still around he would get a stern scolding for even doubting himself. Would he even be able to play as he usually did without his father's advice?
