"It's getting pretty late and I want to reunite with the love of my life." Iseul yawned, shifting slightly in her position. Yuta adjusted himself, hoping to make her more comfortable.

"So you love your bed more than me?"  He asked.

"Are you jealous?" She shot back.

"...No?" He mumbled. "You know what, just give me five more minutes. I'm charging myself with good luck for tomorrow's game."

Iseul shrugged it off, not knowing what else to say. At this point, she would just say anything on her mind to keep the conversation going. The two had tried the rest of the equipment here to their amusement after the little 'punishment' Iseul gave Yuta.

It didn't take long for them to get tired and Yuta suggested cuddling on the wide slide at the jungle gym. Iseul was hesitant at first as she really didn't like slides, but she wanted the cuddles. They counted the stars and drew pictures from their imaginations by connecting them.

"Alright, time to get the deer home before midnight." Yuta reluctantly announced. He got up first, lending Iseul a hand to help her up.

"My butt hurts till now. How could you send me flying off the seesaw?" She complained.

"I don't know, how could you tackle me and tickle me until I tapped out?" Yuta retaliated. "Should I just tickle you too?"

"It was only fair." She shrugged. "And I'm not ticklish, so you can try all you want."

Iseul always wondered why the walk to the car on the way home seemed faster. It was like time was telling them to hurry up because their fun was over. She couldn't help but chuckle at Yuta rushing to open the door for her.

Ever since their first date, Yuta decided to make it a race to open the door for her. He would always sulk if he lost and tease her if he won. She found it cute, but sometimes she wanted to annoy him.

"I won this time." He gloated as he entered the car. He stuck his tongue out at her as an attempt to tease her, but Iseul decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.

"Because I let you. I don't want you to sulk again." She teased, buckling her seat belt.

"Me? Sulk? As if!" He huffed. As much as he wanted to focus on her, he wanted to get her home safe. "Are you sleepy? I can wake  you up when I get you home."

"Is it okay with you?"

"Of course." He assured. He reached for the neck pillow in the back with his free hand and handed it to her. He stole a quick glance at her to make sure she was comfortable.  "Sweet dreams, bambi."

"Yu?" Iseul quietly called. Yuta hummed, letting her know he was listening. "You should keep your tongue in your mouth unless you want it in mine."

The car stopped abruptly in Yuta's shock. He looked at her with wide eyes and he could swear he could see her smirk in the dark. "Who taught you how to talk like that? I need to hit them."

"My dork boyfriend." She yawned. She closed her eyes and leaned back into the comfort of the passenger seat. "Goodnight, Yu."

Yuta turned the radio on and lowered the volume down for some white noise. He was relieved to hear quiet snores coming from Iseul 10 minutes later. He noticed how she would whimper and shift halfway through the ride.

"Is she cold?" He wondered. He pulled over to the side of the road and removed his cardigan. He tried his best to drape it over her without waking her. He made a mental note to keep a blanket in his car for her. "It looks like you're having a bad dream."

Yuts contemplated whether or not to wake her. He knew she was tired, but he didn't want her to suffer in her dream. After a debate with himself, he decided to wake her. His hand froze when her whimpers begin to sound like words.

"Why..." She whimpered. "Why did you cheat?"

Could she be dreaming of her dad?

"Why...Jungwoo?"

"Where the hell is my girlfriend?" Daeun frowned, looking around for her short haired friend. She cursed herself for waking up late on an important day. She burst into the locker room, startling some of the members.

"Iseul is with her man over there." Doyoung answered before she could ask. She mumbled a quick thanks, giving him a peck on the cheek before heading over to where Iseul was. She didn't forget to send a nasty glare at Jungwoo who just smiled at her.

"How are you so sure she wasn't looking for you?" Taeyong asked.

"If she was looking for me, she would have just ran straight to me without looking around." Doyoung shrugged.

Daeun was pleased to find her best friend who was in the midst of styling Yuta's hair. "Is it just me or are you two connected by the hip?"

"You're later than usual babe. Did you get stuck in traffic on your way out of dreamland?" Iseul shot back. She put the last bobby pin in place and handed Yuta the mirror.

"Maybe." Daeun mumbled. "Can I borrow your man for a moment or are you going to do his make up too? That lipstick you have on right now would look good so kiss-"

"Alright, everyone. Head out to the gym for opening remarks." Iseul announced, cutting Daeun off.

"You can handle the children alone for a while, right?" Yuta worried. "Tell me if they give you a hard time, bambi."

"Of course. Taeyong would help me while you're gone anyway." She tiptoed to kiss his cheek. "I'll give you another if you win today."

"I get it, you're inspired and in love. Now go." Daeun pointed to the door as she impatiently tapped her foot.

"Alright losers! Last one to line up outside has to do 20 laps later." Iseul shouted, making several people sprint out the locker room. She was the last to step out, waving goodbye to the two before she did.

"That's the fastest I've seen Donghyuck run." Yuta mused as the last person left. "So, what's up? Isn't it bambi who you usually want to be alone with?"

"Thank you for being good to Iseul." She grumbled crossing her arms. "Thank you for not asking Seul about her dream and telling me instead. You have a right to know, so that's what I'm here for."

Yuta's smile fell almost instantly at the reminder of what he heard the night before. He woke Iseul without a second thought texted Daeun about it.

"I don't want to know. I told myself I'll wait for-"

"How the hell are you supposed to protect her from that monster if you don't know?" Daeun snapped. Tears pricked the corner of her eyes as she recalled the tragedy. "I didn't know anything. Maybe that's why we couldn't protect her."

Yuta handed her his handkerchief as he didn't know what else to do to comfort her. He suspected it from the start with how strong her bond is with Iseul.

"I have a question I need an answer to. I might be able to find it in yours." He finally agreed.

"I'll tell you my side of what happened. That should probably be enough." Daeun sighed, taking a seat beside him. "Of course, I can't tell you a major detail because it overlaps with Iseul's side of the story, so I'll request one thing."

Yuta gulped, an uneasy feeling settling in his stomach. "What is it?"

"Never give Iseul a ring or anything with her birthstone on it. The ring, I can't tell you anything, but the birthstone will only remind her of her father."
