She stared blankly at the swaying trees below, heart heavy and mind numb. The midnight sky was covered with light purplish clouds and covered the moon and stars. She let out a shaky exhale, watching her breath come out in a mist.

Her hands clutched tightly onto the wooden railing, knuckles turning white. She wanted to scream, to cry, to breakdown, anything to soothe the gaping hole in her heart that only grew.

Yet all she could do was stay quiet as her body refused to give in to her emotions.

Where did she go wrong?

"Are you going to jump?" Someone hesitantly asked.

"A problem like this isn't worth dying for. Life goes on, right?" Iseul mumbled, moving her gaze onto the stranger. She could barely see his face due to his hat and the dim lighting.  "The only thing that should die right now are these feelings I have."

"Just making sure." He mumbled. Without another word, he tossed the ball he had down the cliff. It bounced around the rocks before disappearing into the green sea of trees.

"Why are you getting rid of that?" She asked, trying to spot where the ball landed. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

"I... don't have a reason to play anymore. I lost the person I want to make proud." He answered, hiding his face in his scarf.

"Then why not try playing for yourself? I don't mean to be rude or assume too much, but don't you think that person would still want you to play?" She suggested. "Change is hard, but inevitable. If you do things for yourself, you'll always have a reason to do it."

The stranger stayed quiet, making her worry if she crossed the line. She played with the strings of her hoodie as she waited for a response. Should she apologize?

White specs of snow soon rained down from the sky as the two just stood in silence. She rubbed hands together before stuffing them in her pocket. Maybe she should just leave before the last bus leaves.

"What's your name?" He suddenly questioned.
