"Good morning, Bambi." Yuta yawned as he walked up to her. He rested his chin on the top of her head while his hands held onto her bare shoulders. "You're here so early. Did you eat breakfast?"
"How did you know I was here?" Iseul asked, continuing to write the monthly schedule for the club.
"You're always here."
"Can you guys be disgusting somewhere else? I'm trying to eat breakfast here." Sicheng pointed to the door of the locker room with a scowl. "It's bad enough I had to walk to school with Daeun and Doyoung."
"You're just jealous because you're single." Jaehyun teased.
"You want my hugs too? I can give them to you later after her." Yuta winked at the boy, making him shudder.
"Stay one meter away from me thank you." Sicheng requested, retreating further into the corner.
One month.
One month had passed ever since their contract had been made. Besides Daeun and Doyoung, no one else found out the truth behind their 'relationship' to her surprise. As time went by, Iseul eventually got used to the mechanics of their relationship.
They looked more natural together, but Iseul still couldn't get used to the change in Yuta. In school, he had all his attention on her and only her. Outside of school affairs or soccer related things, he was a whole different person. He was nothing but a stranger outside of school.
A mysterious person who put a wall between them.
"Hey, we're going the bar again tonight. You coming?" Jaehyun asked, looking over at Yuta. "I mean if Iseul let's you go. On second thought, why don't you come along too, Seul?"
Yuta leaned down to get a better look at her. Her fingers twirled her silky long hair as she was deep in thought. "What's your say, bambi?"
"You guys should enjoy, it's the last time you'll be able to drink this month. I arranged a friendly match with the soccer team from JYPU to practice you guys for the autumn league." Iseul mentioned. "It'll be like a training camp too. It'll be lasting for two weeks."
"Our coach is nothing compared to our manager. That man shouldn't be the one getting paid." Jungwoo commented. "I see you still have that adorable habit."
"I never noticed I still do it." Iseul mumbled, pocketing her hands. "You really do notice, huh."
"I know you like the back of my hand, Seul." Jungwoo added. "We were practically raised together. Well, along with Daeun, but for some reason, she hates me."
Was that supposed to be a threat?
Kim Jungwoo. Another person who she couldn't quite understand.
"You wanna join us today Jungwoo?" Jaehyun asked, not bothering to read the tense mood. Sicheng only facepalmed at his friend's density.
"Sure! Why not make it a team outing? We can invite everyone else to have fun." Jungwoo suggested. "I'm pretty sure everyone's coming, right?"
Yuta's eyes narrowed at Jungwoo as he tried to analyze his teammate. He glanced over at Iseul before clearing his throat. "I don't think-"
"Sounds like a plan, but Jaehyun's paying for my drinks." Iseul agreed.

"You really are fascinating, Min Iseul. You know full well you'll be uncomfortable, yet here you are, sitting at the bar with your ex behind you." Yuta downed his shot, face scrunching up a bit at the taste.
"Am I supposed to run? You're the one who told me to face him." She glanced back at the rowdy group, a sad smile on her face. "He has someone new. I hope he's just being nice."
"Can I ask something?"
"You can ask, but I don't know if I'll answer." She shrugged, taking a sip of her beer. She brushed her long hair back and away from her face. It was getting hot and she knew she needed to slow down.
"Just tell me to stop asking if you don't want to answer it." Yuta reminded. "How long have you known Jungwoo?"
"Probably my whole life. Our mothers were close friends and we always played together as a result. He had been there since I could remember honestly." Iseul answered. She swirled the ice around her glass. "He's younger than me by two years, but he was just a grade below me. We both met Daeun in our primary years and we just picked up Doyoung along the way."
"How did you guys get together?" He followed up.
"I guess you can say we were childhood sweethearts. After my dad..." She trailed off in a daze. The word seemed so foreign to her tongue. She couldn't remember the last time she said it.
"Is something wrong?"
"Nothing." She dismissed. "I had a hard time believing in love, but Jungwoo made me want to try the gamble and here we are now. Someone scared to get charmed by him again."
"If I were you, I wouldn't be scared. Giving the expected reaction would only fuel them more." Yuta advised. " I don't mean to be rude or assume too much, but if you really don't want him in your life anymore make it known. Set your boundaries."
"Isn't that what you're here for?" Iseul joked.
Yuta rolled his eyes at her cheeky grin. "How did you two break up?"
"Okay, yellow card." She warned. She took a couple piece of the boneless chicken and popped them into her mouth. "I'd rather not talk about it."
"I'll drop the subject. Sorry." He muttered. "Refill?"
"Yes please." She quickly accepted, sliding her glass closer to him. Once again, her hair fell onto her face. "I forgot to bring my scrunchie. This sucks."
"Why do you grow your hair out long anyway? It just seems like a hassle." He pointed out. Her hair was indeed long, reaching up to her waist. She always seemed troubled with her hair.
"I look better with long hair, so I must live with it. Gets harder when you live with glasses." Iseul added to her complaints.
He raised a brow at her. "Who told you that?"
"Jungwoo." She answered almost immediately. The way it came out so naturally surprised her. "I mean, he told me before he liked it better when I had long hair so I kept it long and got used to it."
"I don't like it. Get out of my sight."
"I just got used to it. That's all." She repeated, as if to convince herself there was no other reason.
Yuta nodded as he removed his hair tie. He lazily ran a hand through his messy hair and attempted to fix it. Once he thought it was acceptable enough, he reached for Iseul's chair and pulled her closer.
He neatly gathered her hair into into a low ponytail, fluffing her hair up a bit to make it look like she had short hair. He smiled softly, letting out a hum of approval as he tied her hair.
"I think you shouldn't believe what he said. Long or short hair, you're still beautiful, Bambi."
