"here you go" taehyung walked back from the food truck with two shawarma's in his hand and handed one to rumi, who happily reached for it, legs swinging as she sat on the edge of the motorcycle seat, and he stood in front of her, his body half-way in between her legs, both of them merrily eating away the delicious roll, eyes darting to each other ever so often, exchanging a sly smile before munching again.

the night had gotten a lot colder, rumi was thankful for the heavy leather jacket that lay on her body and her mind still wandered to the wall they painted, which turned out so stunning, with an even more stunning man who reciprocated the feelings she felt, she felt giddy, the butterflies in her stomach still raging at the memory they created not even an hour ago. her face covered in a blissful flush as the wind pricked at her skin, even taehyung's face was red, especially his cheeks and nose and rumi found that detail of him very adorable.

"we should probably go, it's getting late" at taehyung's words, rumi nodded, hopping off the bike, dusting her hands off on her jeans and watched as he stabilized the bike again, getting it ready to ride before rumi interrupted him.

"can i ride your bike?" rumi asked, biting her lip in anticipation, she wasn't sure if he would actually agree but she figured there was no harm in asking, it's been so long since she's been on a bike and she wanted to ride it by herself at least once before this beautiful night ended.

"sure, it's all yours" taehyung smiled, very readily agreeing on the idea and stepping away from the bike, gesturing the seat to her as rumi's mouth slightly gaped.

"really, you're gonna let me try it?" rumi's voice held disbelief, she couldn't believe how easily he had given it to her, not asking for a license, not asking if she even knew, she was so ready to convince him and he had just plainly handed it over to her.

"of course, why wouldn't i? now come on, take me for a ride" he smirked, making her swoon a little and she stepped closer to the bike, only now realizing that it was much taller than she was.

when she threw a leg over the bike, she could hear her thighs screaming at her to get off already, and they were definitely going to be cramped tomorrow, she wondered why they didn't hurt when she was sitting in the back, and her eyes widened in panic as the bike starts to wobble in her hands, and she struggled to balance it but taehyung immediately rushed to her side, holding her and the bike to stabilize them and they both sighed in relief when it finally stood firmly beneath rumi.

"you're okay, right? because i'm going to get on it too now" he waited for her confirmation which she gave with a thumbs up and determined nod, and he slowly got onto the bike too, making sure to not move it around too much.

"i'm not tall enough for this" rumi whined as her foot arched to reach the ground, her toes grazing the ground slightly and she turned around with a glare when she heard loud laughter from the man behind her. he put his hands up in surrender, a large grin still plastered on his face and she couldn't help but let her own smile slip at his amused reaction.

"let me help you" taehyung murmured between laughs, snaking his arms around her and placing his hands atop hers on the accelerator, causing rumi to take a sharp intake of breath, this simple act causing her face to flare in a blush.

"you can do this, come on" she heard right by her ear, rumi couldn't quite concentrate with his breath so close to her sensitive body and her breath hitched as she felt his chin rest on her shoulder, she couldn't move for a while, her body feeling like it was cold and hot at the same time and every nerve lit up in technicolor excitement with him so close to her, she only comes back to reality when she feels him tap her thigh, trying to get her attention. rumi awkwardly cleared her throat before swallowing the lump in her throat.

"w-where are we going?" she whispered into open air, gripping the accelerator a little tighter, hoping that he wouldn't ask her to repeat it because talking seemed too difficult for her right now.

and thankfully, he didn't.

"anywhere" his answer was short, vague but still managed to excite every bit of her.

"you're going to regret saying that" was her snarky reply, she looked at the side mirror to see his smirk at the challenge in her tone before she revved the vehicle up to take off into the night once again.

with every turn, every mile she'd cover, his grip on her tightened, his fingers holding hers a little more, to the point of suffocation, but the kind of suffocation she didn't mind one bit, the kind of suffocation she felt like she lived and breathed for, the kind of suffocation that she wish she felt every day after today. she could hear his random excited screams behind her, and she only drove faster at that, wanting him and herself to feel that elation that comes with temporarily letting go, forgetting every thing that waited for them at home or life in general.

the few moments of escape from reality were like fresh air after months of being surrounded by clouds of smoke.

loving felt freeing, dangerous but at the same time, so beautiful, so serene. no amount of screaming can quench that buzz that comes with loving and being loved back.

somehow, the couple ended up at the beach which was closed off to the public because it was so late, but they seemed to be doing a lot of things they shouldn't tonight. love gives you that kind of confidence, knowing that you're not alone even in trouble, that if you're getting handcuffed, another pair of wrists would share them too, and it's dangerous, both the confidence and love. but danger is always so much more inviting, danger always has its arms open for you to fall in, then it suffocates you to the point of beautiful exhilaration.

both of them didn't utter a word, just staring off into the wide sea in front of them, watching the waves hit the shore with a certain harshness, a certain aggressiveness but the sound that the crashes produced was oddly calming. the waves that look so peaceful in the morning, dissolve into invitations to death at night. but it's an invitation we'd all gladly take.

which proved to them that even chaos can be so peaceful at times.

once they were seated on the slightly wet sand, kicking their boots off, freeing their bare feet to create silly faces and words on the soft surface, and their fingers drawing cartoon faces, exchanging silly smiles and giggles.

it felt like the night stilled to look at them, the stars leaning in to listen to their meaningless conversations, the moon sighing at the sight of young love and the sea pushing itself a little bit further to reach them, to feel the affection that bounced in the air around them. the entire universe seemed to sigh in relief, it can only watch so much pining. the universe is your biggest audience, its always silently cheering you on, maybe in the form of wind that gently blows your tears away, or prickly grass which massage your feet, or rain that falls when you're crying to remind you, you're not alone, the world wants you to go on, for you.

and the new lovers were none the wiser to the witnesses of their first day together, they were none the wiser to the looks of endearment or the quiet gossip among the sky and land.

"taehyung, why did you become vante?" rumi whispered, continuing her little drawing of a home on the sand, genuine curiosity laced in her words, no probing or accusation, just wanting to know how he ended becoming the artist he was. every artist has their story, and she wanted to know his story more than anyone else's in the world.

"it's a long story lee rumi" taehyung sighed dramatically, leaning back on the sand and resting on his elbows, causing rumi to laugh again at his exaggeration. he smiled at the happy flush on her face, not fearing her reaction to his story, not anymore, knowing that she would probably be the only one who understood if he decided to tell her it.

"we've got all night" rumi hummed, waiting for him to open up by himself, now that she knew how sensitive he was to the topic.

"ok, then i'll start from the very beginning, yeah?"

"you sound like the starting of a cheesy autobiography" rumi laughed at his over-the-top introduction and taehyung playfully scoffed, nudging her body, making her fall into the sand.

"do you want to know or not?" he arched an eyebrow in her direction and rumi nodded enthusiastically, brushing the sand off the front of her clothes and hair. she would make him regret doing this another time.

"please do begin, kind sir."
