they kissed.
after weeks of pining, teasing, flirting, and an overall mess of positive flutters, they finally kissed. taehyung reached over to cup her other cheek too, while rumi tangled her fingers in his hair, both slightly out of breath but not wanting to pull away, the butterflies raging in their stomach encouraging them to go on.
"seriously? in the flower shop?" they heard a thin voice, which caused them to break apart, startled, quickly adjusting themselves, trying to hide traces of their messed-up hair and flushed faces.
just like the magic had started, it ended.
taehyung silently prayed that it wasn't a customer and it wasn't, it was the one and only park jimin who was looking at them with a fake annoyed look on his face, when in reality, amusement was consuming him, a slow smirk growing on his face.
"jimin what the fuck, what are you doing back here?" taehyung was not only angry that he had to break the kiss so quickly, he was also very embarrassed and rumi just hoped that no one would notice the dust of pink on her cheeks.
"oh, i'm sorry taehyung that i was concerned about my best friend and decided to check on him" jimin exaggerated sarcastically to which taehyung rolled his eyes and rumi bit back a laugh.
"i'll just leave you two it then, oh don't forget to bring dinner tonight, i don't plan on starving just because you were busy kissing" jimin warned jokingly, he sent a sweet smile to rumi and she reciprocated it to him before he finally waved them goodbye and got out of the shop.
there was yet again another awkward silence.
"so, you and jimin live together?" rumi's soft voice broke the silence and he nodded.
"unfortunately, yes we do" taehyung exclaimed sarcastically which made rumi laugh.
"he doesn't seem as bad as you make him out to be" she retorted, and he scoffed in response.
"you should see him sleep, can't get rid of him even if i tried to" she laughed even more at his annoyed face.
"so, since it's still early, should we get dinner together? that way you can pick some food up for jimin too" rumi suggested and taehyung smirked, loving that she subtly hinted at a date and that she wanted to spend more time with him.
"or we could just let jimin starve" taehyung said, removing his apron and rumi narrowed her eyes.
"we're not letting jimin starve, taehyung" rumi retorted, taehyung chuckled in response, holding his hand out for her, she grabbed his extended hand, their hands meshed so well together, both warming each other.
"actually, i'm still a little confused about a few things, i think it'd be nice if we resolved any misunderstandings today" she nervously asked him, chewing on the inside of her cheek and hoping he wouldn't take it the wrong way.
"of course, i wouldn't want you to feel unsure about anything" he reassured her, leaning down to kiss her temple before leading her out of the shop. and then he halted, quickly excusing himself and running back inside the shop, he came out with his shawl in his hand. he gave her a slightly out-of-breath smile and wrapped the shawl around her neck. her bliss was shown through the broad grin she gave him.
"there you go, it's cold today, you really should start carrying around a coat" he mumbled, grabbing her hand once again and she hummed in delight.
"or i could just steal yours" she cheekily suggested, and he laughed.
"that works too" he happily gave his answer and soon, they found themselves in the same café they had their first date in. seated comfortably, they ordered their dinner and made small talk about their jobs.
