taehyung stood on the pavement, finding it hard to believe that rumi would not let him explain anything at all, he let out an irritated groan before harshly pushing his way back into the club. he didn't understand why he was so frustrated, he was usually so level-headed and calm but somewhere along the lines of the jealousy he first felt when he saw rumi with ye jun and then getting kissed by his immature ex, he was so close to losing it. he had planned so much for the night, wanting to even ask rumi to dance with him and hopefully end it with a kiss. but everything went down the drain.

it was not like he could fix things now, any attempt at it would probably only worsen the situation so taehyung thought it would be best to just get drunk and wake up with a punishing headache the next day.

he felt jimin's small hands pushing him around, he barely caught jimin's voice whining at him to get up or something along the lines of explaining something, the sunlight in the room didn't help his pounding head at all, and he cursed the poor sun for just doing its job. with one particularly strong push from jimin, he felt himself land on the floor, and jimin's laugh resounded in the room.

he groggily got up while rubbing his hands over his eyes, trying to adjust to the brightness of the room, his headache seemed to have become a migraine after the push caused sudden movement of his body. jimin then stood in front of taehyung, a broad grin dancing on his face as he pushed a glass of water and Advil into taehyung's hands who gratefully took it. jimin watched in amusement as taehyung struggled to open his eyes and take the medicine.

"what time is it?" taehyung groaned out, the headache still reeling in his head and he just splayed himself on the floor to avoid getting up.

"just about 2 in the afternoon" jimin laid himself down beside taehyung, enjoying his friend's suffering a little too much. taehyung's head snapped towards jimin, the quick movement causing another wave of pain to wreck his head, he mewled, closing his eyes for a second.

"did i seriously sleep for that long?" taehyung whimpered and jimin nodded, pursing his lips.

"you had too much to drink yesterday, jin kept telling you to stop but you didn't listen at all" jimin explained and taehyung wanted to bang his head on a wall for not taking jin's advice.

"taehyung-ah" jimin's thin voice cut the silence again, taehyung murmured his reply, indicating that he was listening as the throbbing in his head seemed to ease a little.

"i'm worried about you, you never drink that much, you were rude to hoseok hyung too which is so unlike you, you were whimpering nonsense the entire night" jimin voiced out his worry, taehyung rarely lost his self-control but after the overdrive of emotions last night, he just needed an escape.

"i will explain everything as soon as i get some food in me" taehyung stretched his limbs out, letting out a loud yawn before sitting up, the medicine started kicking in, so he didn't feel as dizzy anymore.

"we can go out for lunch" jimin suggested, sitting up and stretching his arms too and taehyung nodded.

"just give me 10 minutes and we can leave" jimin left taehyung in his room to get ready.

"did you stay over last night?" taehyung asked after the waiter left with their order. jimin gave him a blank look.

"no, i just magically teleported to your home" the sarcasm did not go unnoticed by taehyung who gave him an unamused glare.

"of course, i stayed over taehyung-ah, on that note, don't you think i should move in already?" jimin asked, hands fiddling in excitement and taehyung shrugged.

"you practically spend every day there any way so why not? but i'm not cooking so it's either you or take out" jimin grimaced at that.

"take out, i don't want to give either one of us food poisoning" taehyung snorted before agreeing with him. they both would not live a week off the food they make themselves.

"so are you gonna tell me what happened last night with rumi?" jimin asked just in time for their dishes to arrive, they both thanked the waiter and dug into the food, and in between, taehyung told him about his more than shitty night.

"yeah, a headache seems right" jimin stated, eyes still wide in surprise as he processed everything. taehyung potentially blew things with the only romantic interest he has had in almost a year.

"but who invited aera? i mean who was dumb enough to invite your ex to namjoon hyung's birthday?" jimin was confused, he didn't understand how aera seemed to pop out of nowhere and how she left a tangled mess for taehyung to fix.

"i don't know, she said she was someone's plus one, but from what i know, she probably lied about that, there was nothing stopping her from coming into the club so she could've just walked in" taehyung's tone was dry and almost strained, he thought he had left aera and all her drama behind.

"leave about her, she can go bang a tree for all i could care, what you need to do is try and figure out how you're going to fix shit with rumi, no wonder the poor girl looked so distraught" jimin was firm in his words, he hated aera, he never tried to hide it, he tried to like her for taehyung but ended up only wanting to pin her head to the wall and as for rumi, he tried to understand things from her perspective and taehyung wasn't looking exactly good from her point of view.

"distraught?" taehyung choked out, he did not know she was upset about it, he had only seen her be very angry and then stomp her way into the cab.

"yeah, when she came to tell us that she was going to leave, she tried really hard to not let it show but her body posture gave it away, hands fiddling, eyes looking down and shoulders dropped, she looked really sad" now, this description might seem creepy but jimin was just a really good observer, he always seemed out-going and sweet but he could tell almost instantly what kind of a person someone was or what they were feeling.

hearing this bit of information didn't help taehyung at all, she was upset, because of him and he was so frustrated, he wanted to kick a wall, scream at someone, just let it out but he couldn't so he just sucked in a breath and nodded meekly. there was silence as jimin just looked at taehyung, giving him the space to think a little clearer and to avoid overwhelming him with anything else.

"i think i'll go for the evening shift at the flower shop" taehyung murmured and jimin was concerned again, he wasn't sure it was the best idea to be working but it wasn't like doing anything else would be beneficial, at least at the flower shop, he can stay distracted and have some time to himself.

at the flower shop, taehyung softly grazed the precious flowers spread everywhere, it brought to him a strange sense of calm, he let out a sigh as he sat down at the counter. a couple of customers came here and there for simple bouquets, nothing too complicated which taehyung was grateful for.

he heard the door fling open again and he looked up to greet the customer but paused with eyes widening when he saw who it was.

park aera.
