taehyung and rumi spent the rest of their time upon the hills, the gentle breeze accompanying them before a phone call decided to interrupt the silence. rumi gasped a little at the time and answered it.

"hey um rumi" celeste's voice came out rushed and rumi frowned.

"are you okay? why do you sound like that?"

"can you stay somewhere else tonight?" celeste asked, sounding quite nervous but her voice carried a giddy tone to it.

"do you want me to sleep on the streets? why?" taehyung had an amused smile on his face as rumi said this.

"it's just, just don't come home please" celeste whined on the other end.

"cel, i'm definitely coming home if you don't tell me why right now" rumi threatened lightly.

"ok fine, me and lara are probably going to fuck, do you really want to be in the house when that happens?" celeste admitted, annoyance laced in her voice and rumi scoffed.

"kicking your best friend out of her own apartment to have sex? that's real classy of you cel" rumi complained and she heard celeste groan loudly. taehyung's eyebrows shot up at her words, not amused but flustered now, his cheeks reddening as he looked away.

"for this one day, please, i'll buy you dinner whenever you want" celeste pleaded.

"damn, how horny are you?" taehyung stifled a laugh at rumi's dead face expression.

"do you really want to know?"

"no, fine ugh i'll stay somewhere else, you better clean up afterwards" rumi gave in to her request and a loud squeal came in through the phone.

"thank you, thank you, you're the best" celeste sang and rumi scoffed.

"you still owe me dinner whenever i want" she reminded her best friend who seemed too blissed to realize that rumi was going to take full advantage of the offer.

"yeah yeah, goodbye" celeste said distractedly and then cut the call.

"the fucking audacity" rumi muttered, shoving her phone back into her pocket and taehyung looked at her with sympathy.

"my friends in college did that too, so i know how it feels" he said, trying to make light of the situation and rumi smiled, appreciating the sympathy in his tone.

"now, i have to find a motel for the night" rumi sighed at the idea of a dingy motel that won't be near as comfortable as home.

"why, a motel?" rumi looked at him confusedly, she thought he understood why she had to stay out of home for the night.

"because i clearly can't go home?"

"come to my apartment" rumi almost choked on air as taehyung uttered those words.

"what?" she unintentionally let out in a screech and taehyung laughed at her reaction.

"don't get the wrong idea, it's just a motel doesn't seem exactly comfortable or safe and at my apartment, even jimin is there, we can watch a movie and i'll crash on the couch, you can take my bed."

"i can't possibly intrude like that, besides i don't have any spare clothes" rumi rejected almost immediately even if taehyung's idea was very inviting and yes, a lot more comfortable than how she'd be in a motel.

"first, i'm asking you to come over, and second, you don't have spare clothes for the motel either so" and rumi hated that he was right.

"fine" she huffed out, giving up on trying to reject him and getting up to dust the grass caught on her clothes, taehyung looked up at her with surprise written all over his face, not expecting her to agree so quickly, but it soon melted into a large smile as he got up too, quickly patting the dirt off his clothes before grabbing her hand and pulling her forward.
