"so why did you bring me to art museum on a saturday that we could've spent napping?" rumi groaned out, tugging taehyung's hand as he gently smiled and thanked the lady at the ticket counter, turning around to wave the two tickets happily in rumi's annoyed face.

"it's going to be fun, trust me" taehyung cooed, pulling her inside the large, surprisingly populated museum. rumi didn't expect there to be so many art enthusiasts but then again, they did drive out to the city to come here so it wasn't like their town. for rumi, art was all black and white, she admired the way the painting is done rather than the end result, she was never one to dwell on the meaning or symbolism of a painting, which is why she admired taehyung's way of painting more than his actual finished paintings, she trusted process more than the results. whereas taehyung admired both, the process was fascinating, gripping to him, something he remembers always, and the end result gives him a sense of euphoria that nothing else does, looking at a finished piece that he's done fills him to the brim with pride and happiness, even if it is momentary before the self-judgment takes over.

the museum was much bigger than what rumi expected it to be, it had cream, undistracting walls to starkly contrast with the dark grey swirled marble covering the floor, the paintings all were rimmed with gold, and rumi wondered if it was actual gold or not. taehyung excitedly looked around, knowing exactly where his favorite pieces were hung, where his favorite artist had their corner, and he eagerly pushed rumi around, showing her all the different worlds of art. she warily looked at each of them, they somehow looked the same to her, it was always the same bold strokes or muted colors, or sad people, nothing gripped her but each one of them seemed that much more fascinating to taehyung, he admired the message conveyed in them, rumi didn't understand what message he saw in a plain red spot on plain canvas but she just let him get lost in his world.

he would excitedly glance over to rumi once in a while, gripping her arm a little tighter whenever he wanted to show her something, and start going off on a rant about the painting, the artist behind it, and everything else, but rumi couldn't focus on a word coming out of his mouth, not when his eyes beamed in wonder, like a kid being given their favorite toy, and especially not when his mouth slid into a smile she never saw on him before, it was softer, wider and in a way, more stunning than any of his other smiles. so, while he continued onto a fourth rant, rumi just took her time to admire her man.

yep, her man.

that idea seemed ridiculous to her too, she'd only dreamed of it, she never thought they would actually make it that far. but they did, and she couldn't ask for something better.

"rumi, come look at this" he seemed to love repeating those words because that was the only thing she'd heard in the past hour, it didn't get old though, every time he said that she felt her heart jump a little, he seemed so much more open to her, so much more than he was before, and now, he was dragging her to everything that caught his attention and gave detailed exclamations about it and it meant a lot to her, she felt grateful, to have him, to know him, and it was only their third day as a couple.

she didn't want this to end, this excitement she felt when he would call out to her, this shiver she felt when he came closer than usual, she didn't want these feelings to fade away, so she was going to do everything she could to desperately grip onto it while she could which explains the sudden tightening of her hand around his, making taehyung look up at her momentarily in worry, checking if she was okay and then starting to speak again. she leaned into his arm more, sighing a little as her mind bothered her once more, practically falling on him and he just removed his arm out of the way and pulled her closer, wrapping it around her and continuing his speech. rumi just closed her eyes and snuggled into him, trying to fall asleep, but it was hard when taehyung constantly moved his hands around to explain something, a habit he picked up from her.
