to say rumi was shocked would be an understatement to the storm of emotions she was feeling.

is that his girlfriend?

was i the side chick this entire time?

who even is this girl?

it was too good to be true, i should have known.

she quickly turned around, not wanting to see any more of whatever they were doing, the dreaded feeling of disappointment started filling her to the brim, she also hated herself for maybe getting involved with someone who was already taken.

she hastily got up from the barstool, causing ye jun to look up at her, utterly confused, she mustered up a small, apologetic smile to the man who kept her company for the past hour.

"i think i'm going to go, i feel like i've had enough to drink tonight" it was a pathetic excuse because whatever she drank was drained right out of her system the moment she saw them kiss, she was ridiculously sober now, all too aware of her surroundings but the excuse seemed to have worked.

"it's alright, maybe we'll meet again" ye jun spoke in a soft tone, a hopeful glint in his eyes and if it weren't for the turmoil in her head, she probably would've asked him for his number but she just gave a quick nod before leaving him by the bar to look for celeste. she found her, in the arms of the foreign lady and they looked extremely happy, rumi felt a smile creeping on her face but flashbacks to the kiss had it wiped away almost instantly. she went and tugged celeste's dress who turned to look at rumi with a bright smile which faded away when she saw how sullen rumi looked, immediately understanding something was wrong, she rose her eyebrows in a question.

"i want to go home" rumi whispered in her ear and celeste nodded understandingly, leaning into her date, telling her that she was going to go who responded with a pout, celeste assured her that they would meet again, they exchanged numbers, and soon, the best friends were ready to leave and they thought it would be rude to leave without telling the hosts so they headed to the boys.

"hey jimin" rumi called out and he looked back with a confused smile.

"hey rumi" he said slowly while his eyes darted to look for taehyung.

wasn't he supposed to be with rumi?

"i just wanted to let you know that we were leaving," rumi told and that confused jimin even more, her sad expression didn't escape his eyes and even hoseok turned around at the arrival of the two.

"so soon? you just got here though" hoseok asked, slightly confused too and rumi just gave a hesitant smile.

"we had a lot of fun, thank you for inviting us" she bid her goodbyes to the rest of them too and after a final 'happy birthday' to namjoon, they left to the front door.

"are you going to tell me what happened?" celeste asked, looking back at rumi, pushing the door open, making cold air rush in as they step out of honsool. rumi finally felt like she could breathe as she bent over with her hands cupping her knees, trying to keep steady as she could almost feel the sobs that were gonna wreck her body.

"they kissed" rumi mumbled, eyes brimming with tears, maybe it was the alcohol that made her feel everything more strongly, but she just felt upset and disappointed.

it was like all everyone did was disappoint her these days.

"what? who kissed?" celeste asked, rubbing a hand on rumi's back and rumi stood straight again with quivering lips.

"taehyung and some girl" she stuttered, still finding it hard to believe that he never mentioned a partner in the past four months she has known him. celeste gasped, she was equally as shocked because she was sure with how taehyung treated rumi, that they both would be an item soon.
