"As soon as Loki took the doctor, we moved Jane Foster," Agent Coulson assures Thor of her safety. "They've got an excellent observatory in Tromso. She'll be safe."

"Thank you," Thor says to him as I wait for Coulson to leave.

"Is that your girlfriend?" I ask Thor, coming up to stand next to him.

"Yes, in a way," Thor says. "We're trying the long-distance relationship as you humans call it."

"Ah, okay, good luck. Those don't really work out," I notice his facial expression. "I mean, not here usually. I'm sure you being an Asgardian will make it work. I'm gonna shut up now."

"I will make it work," He says matter of factly, looking at her picture.

"She's beautiful," I tell him, looking at her picture too.

"I know," He smiles and it makes me jealous because he is clearly in love with her. "Do you have someone?"

"What?" I get out of my thoughts of Steve before I figure out what Thor has asked. "No, there's no one for me."

"Well, you and Steve seem to have a peculiar relationship," Thor says.

"Maybe," I shrug. "Nothing has happened there and probably never will. We both have our duties and he's always loved another."

"That's a shame," Thor looks at me. "He has no idea what he's missing."

"You Asgardians do love to flirt," I blush a little.

"We are known to be big flirts," He grins cheekily before looking back at Jane's photo. "And we are known for our faithfulness."

"I don't doubt you are," I smile, looking at the photo and then back to him before walking away.

"You know," Thor catches up to walk with me. "Selvig is a good man. I dread what Loki will do to him when he gets his way."

"He talks a lot about you," I tell him. "You changed everything around here."

"We pretend on Asgard that we're more advanced," Thor begins. "But we come here, battling like bilge snipe."

"Huh?" I look at him confused.

"Bilge snipe," He says as if I should know what that is. "Huge, scaly, big antlers."

"Sure," I nod like I do know what he is saying. "You and your brother are like regular siblings here on Earth except fighting to the death part in actual war."

"You have a sibling?" He asks me.

"I had a brother," I look through the large glass at the night sky. "He and I fought, but we loved each other. He died in one of the world wars actually."

"I'm sorry for your loss," Thor politely says.

"Thank you," I smile slightly.

"In my youth, I courted war," Thor tells me and I see that he can easily remember every second of it.

But, whereas he enjoyed it, I dreaded it. Now he seems to have regretted it.

"War hasn't started yet," We look up to see Fury standing above the staircase. "You think you could make Loki tell us where the Tesseract is?"

"I don't know," Thor sighs. "It's not just power he craves, it's vengeance, upon me."

"He's your brother," I place a hand on his strong tricep. "One day that anger will subside and all he will want is you, his brother, back."

"Okay," Thor gives me a slight nod before looking at Fury. "What are you asking me to do?"

"I'm asking, what are you prepared to do?" Fury corrects.
