"I thought you'd stay the night there," I look up from my lying position on my bed at The Avenger's Facility. Steve stands there shirtless.
"And I thought you'd be wearing a shirt," I say as I stare at his naked chest, leaning against my door. We don't share a room anymore and my old room is still here.
"I'm sorry I dragged you away from your friends," Steve apologizes.
"I'm the one who told them who I really am," I shrug. "They're figuring how much a lie our friendship was."
"They probably still care for you," Steve tells me as he goes to sit at the edge of my king-sized bed.
"Maybe," I mumble as I look down at my matching grey sweatpants as his and black sports bra. Even with clothes on, I feel completely naked when he looks at me. It is as if he can always see every little thing right through me. "How'd talking with Bruce go?"
"He's gonna help us," Steve tells me as I finally sit up in the middle of my bed.
"That's good," I say as Steve nods in agreement. "Tony is too, I think."
"It worked?" Steve looks back at me.
"I hope so," I can't help the grin that forms on my lips.
"How are you feeling after your guy friend..." Steve doesn't finish when I look away.
"I'm fine," I look back at him and give him a small smile. "I don't know why I let him start doing that. But-Um...Thanks."
"Here," He leans toward me and engulfs me in a hug.
I sigh in comfort from the touch of his warm skin on mine. I close my eyes as I hold onto him for what seems like five minutes. We both start pulling away at the same time and stop when our noses barely touch. My breath hitches as I feel his on my mouth.
"Just because..." He puts his hand against my left cheek. "We might die soon."
"Yes," I nod before going to straddle his lap. "Just because," I then kiss him, pushing his chest back onto my bed as the passion courses through our bodies.

"Okay, here we go," Bruce begins the next morning in the lab. "Time travel test number one. Scott, open up the van thing," I also look quizzically at the van before Scott opens it to reveal the Quantum Tunnel.
"Oh," I say in realization before looking up at Bruce. He seems to be half-Bruce, half-Hulk. "So what do we call you now? Smart Hulk?"
"I like that," Smark Hulk nods.
"Yeah," I look back at the van in my usual leggings and a leather jacket. "I'm gonna have to get used to that."
"Breakers are set," Steve says as he walks toward us. "Emergency generators are on standby," He looks at me. "Hi."
"Hi," I awkwardly rock back and forth on my heels, ignoring his gaze.
"Ready?" Natasha asks Scott, making me want to kiss her for stopping any more awkwardness with Steve.
"Yep," Scott says before putting his Ant-Man helmet on.
"You're not gonna lose Tiny Man in the 1950s, are you?" I ask Smart Hulk.
"I have no idea," Smart Hulk says. "We're talking about time travel here."
"Try not to," I tell him before looking at where Scott stands in front of the van. "Good luck!"
"Scott, I'm gonna send you back a week," Smart Hulk tells him. "Let you walk around for an hour, then bring you back in ten seconds."
"Perfectly not confusing," I chuckle at what Scott brushes off.
"You got this, Scott," I smirk at Steve's righteousness before Smart Hulk sends Scott in.
"On a count of three...," Smart Hulk begins. "Two...One."
"Uh..." I stare as Scott comes back in his suit as a teenager. "Guys?"
"What is this?" Steve asks Smart Hulk.
"Nice going," I pat his back.
"Is that Scott?" Natasha asks confused.
"Yes, it's Scott," The teen says before being sucked back through the Quantum Tunnel.
"Oh, my back!" Scott returns as an old man.
"That still doesn't look right," I comment.
"Can you bring him back?" Steve asks.
"I'm working on it," Smart Hulk before sending Scott back again to reappear as a baby.
"It's a baby," Steve says matter of factly.
"No shit," I huff and he gives me a look. "Sorry."
"Kill the power when I say so," Smart Hulk demands.
"Oh, my God," Natasha says as she walks over to the red lever.
"Kill it," Smart Hulk tells her and Scott reappears as himself.
"Somebody peed my pants," I burst out laughing at what Scott immediately says.
"Time travel!" Smart Hulk exclaims.
"Sure," I nod as Steve shakes his head, placing his hands on his hips. I try to not think about how hot that is.
~~~~~
"Steve!" I run up to him after he exits the massive building.
"Hey," He turns around to face me. "I thought you were just gonna ignore me the whole day."
"That's kind of impossible if we're saving the universe," I tell him. "Look-" I stop myself as tires squeak and a familiar car comes speeding towards us. It goes a little past us before reversing backward. Steve and I don't move a muscle before Tony rolls down his window.
"Why the long faces?" Tony asks us. "Let me guess. He turned into a baby?"
"Correct," I nod at his accuracy.
"Among other things," Steve adds. "What are you doing here?"
"Instead of pushing Lang through time," Tony gets out of his fancy car. "You might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's dangerous."
"You did it," I realize before looking up at Steve. "Told you he'd help us."
"I just want peace," Tony tells Steve.
"Me, too," Steve agrees.
"Aw," I tease. "Cuties."
"Anyway," Tony says after rolling his eyes at me. He walks to his trunk and opens it.
"Tony, I don't know," Steve sighs once Tony takes out Steve's old shield.
"Why?" Tony asks.
"Howard made it for you, Steve," I remind him. I grab the shield and put it on Steve's arm. I look up at him. "For you."
"Oh, right," Tony digs up something in his car. "This is for you. Okoye from Wakanda sent it to me because she couldn't find where you lived."
"Thank you," I step back and press the button on the handle of the knife. I swing the now scepter around before making it a knife again.
"Least I can do," Tony shrugs and I smile at him gratefully.
"Now, boys," I look at them both. "Let's go kick some quantum ass."
"Hey, kiddo," I turn back to Tony. "Nice hickey."
"Oh!" I cover the right side of my neck with my head. I look from Steve to Tony, chuckling nervously.
