A Hero's Journey - Mysterion's Story

Chapter 15

                         Mysterion heard the man whispering something to the woman, the woman nodded, then they finally came over to him, and the man spoke,

"Listen here mate I don't wanna hurt you, so just give us the key," he said holding out his hand.

Mysterion stayed silent, looking at the man straight in the eye.

"Silent treatment, eh? Well I guess you're going to stay here until you give it to us," the man said taking a seat to the other side of the cave.

The woman walked over where they put his bag and took out his sword, she examined the sword, looking at the emerald in the middle. Mysterion tried moving, but the rope that tied his arms and legs were too strong.

"Stay calm you can- "Yui started to say but then he saw two shadows flashed across him and knock the man out before he could move.

The woman took out her bow and tried shooting at the shadows, but they moved quickly and knocked her out too. Mysterion tried scooching away while they were distracted, but a voice stopped him.

"Mysterion what are you doing?"

Mysterion knew that voice he turned around and saw the shadows had stopped, it was Super Craig and Mosquito. Super Craig untied Mysterion while Mosquito tied the man and woman's arms and legs.

"How'd you guys find me?" Mysterion asked getting up.

"After we couldn't find you in Lufris, we searched in the forest and we heard someone talking so we followed the voice and found you here," Mosquito explained.

After Super Craig lectured Mysterion about going alone, Mysterion showed the key, and Super Craig immediately stopped and praised Mysterion. Then the man woke up.

"Should we kill them?" Mosquito suggested.

"Tsk you wouldn't kill us, what can three little kids do?" the man said while chuckling.

Super Craig threw one of his star-knifes directly at the man, but it hit the wall instead, Super Craig raised his arm and the star-knife flew back to him.

"Dang it, I missed" Super Craig said sarcastically.

"NEVERMIND, please don't kill us we can be of use to you, I mean were on the same side, aren't we?" the man spoke nervously.

Mysterion turned his head over to the man.

"Aren't you a Kizuato?" Mysterion asked sternly.

"Were both retired soldiers or Kizuato, we don't want war or anything, we just want peace" the man said.

"We should just leave them here, they wouldn't be much use to us anyway," Super Craig spat.

"Craig's right, I mean how can we trust them, for all we know they could be spies" Mosquito said in agreement.

Mysterion knew that his friends were right, but what if they could be good use, Mysterion could use some more fighters in his team, and maybe they had powers that could benefit them.

"Wait," Mysterion said walking over to the man,

Mysterion had also noticed that the woman was now awake.

"I knew you'd come to your senses," the man said while smirking.

"Yui what do you think?" Mysterion said.

The man and woman both looked confused.

"Well the choice is yours; I see benefits and consequences in both choices," Yui replied.

"If I chose yes, what type of consequences will there be?" Mysterion asked.

The man and woman looked even more confused.

"The consequences won't result in anyone betraying you, that is all I can say," Yui answered.

Mysterion thought about it for a minute. The man and woman looked clueless, and so did Mosquito and Super Craig. Finally Mysterion said,

"What are your names?"
