A Hero's Journey - Mysterion's Story

Chapter 22

A blonde haired man with hazel brown eyes, and a small scar under his eye came out of the trees, he looked directly at Eisu.

"You've really grown up, haven't you Eisu?" the man said.

Mysterion recognized that voice, it was the guard from before.

Eisu froze and looked at the guard in shock.

"Who are you?" Super Craig asked bluntly.

The guard chuckled a bit and walked a little closer to them.

"I guess you could say I'm an old friend of Eisu's" he responded while grinning.

Eisu stared at the guard, clenching her fists. Mysterion walked in front of them.

"If you're looking for the papers, they're long gone" Mysterion spat.

The guard laughed out loud then raised his hand.

"Too bad I don't believe you," he said.

More guards from behind the trees started surrounding them, pointing their swords at them.

"Last chance, hand over the papers kid," the guard said reaching out his hand.

Mysterion looked at him, then smirked.

He took out his sword and slit off the guard's pinkie in a wink of an eye. The guard held his hand to his chest and yelled in pain.

"What the hell?!" he exclaimed.

"Not happening" Mysterion said grinning.

The other guards froze in amazement, they probably didn't except a kid to do something like that, Mysterion thought.

"Why are you all standing there for? GET THEM," the blonde guard yelled.

The guards responded to his orders quickly and lunged at them. It was all a huge battle scene for a couple minutes, Mysterion noticed that most of the guards eyelid's started getting droopy, then he realized that they must have stayed up for most of the night, so they must be tired...we have to use this as an advantage, Mysterion thought while blocking a guard's sword. Mysterion saw that his allies were all moving much faster than before, they must have realized it too. After a while, they had won this round, all the guards were either dead, or ran away. Mysterion expected most of them running away because of Mosquito's ranged attacks, or that Super Craig was able to fly.

"TURN AROUND QUICKLY AND BLOCK IT" Yui yelled.

Mysterion did as Yui said and saw that the blonde haired guard was about to jump on him with his sword. Mysterion was going to block it but then a shadow swooped by and jumped onto the guard, it was Eisu, she used the same move on the guard as she did with Mysterion, but this time she seemed faster and the grip looked harder. The guard's sword clattered down away from him and Eisu pinned him down hard. Mysterion looked over to his hand and saw that his finger was still bleeding.

"Your stronger than you used to be Eisu, but that doesn't mean you'd kill me" the guard spat.

Eisu grabbed his sword and put it against his neck.

"ok I stand corrected" he said raising his hands up.

"What should we do now captain?" Mosquito asked walking towards the pinned down guard.

Mysterion knew that killing the guard couldn't be an option, he was 100% sure that this person knew where the kingdom was.

"Tell us where the Kingdom of Kuatiou is, and we'll spare you" Mysterion said bending down to the guard.

"Pftt, I'd rather die" the guard spat.

Mysterion knew the guard would say that so he grabbed the Veritaserum from his bag.

"WOAH you are not making me drink that- "the guard started to say, but then Ikari grabbed his jaw and opened it wide.

Mysterion poured half of the serum in his mouth, and the guard choked it down.

"Is the Kingdom of Kuatiou to the south?" Mysterion asked.

"No" the guard replied.

"Is it west?" Mosquito asked.

"No, stop guessing because I am not telling you," the guard said sternly.

"Is it east?" Super Craig asked joining in.

"Ye- "the guard started to say, then he immediately cupped his mouth.

"What was that?" Super Craig questioned.

The guard mumbled something, while still covering his mouth. Eisu grabbed his arm away from his mouth.

"Let me repeat it again, what was that?" Super Craig asked while smirking.

"I SAID YES OK? THE KINGDOM IS EAST" the guard yelled.

Mysterion grinned, now all they needed to know was the directions to get there, and Mysterion knew exactly who could lead them there.
