A Hero's Journey - Mysterion's Story

Chapter 26

"I think it is safe to take a break now" Yui said chiming in.

Mysterion stopped and looked behind them, they were far away from the mountains now.

"We-we should take a break" Mysterion repeated to them.

Everyone stopped not even hesitating to what Mysterion said. They all sat down breathing rapidly. Then Ikari broke the silence and said,

"May I ask why YOU JUMPED ON THE BEAST" he shouted dramatically.

"I was doing you guys a favor, so we could get what you needed more FASTER" Aoi said bluntly.

"We already had everything under control, before you ruined it all" Mosquito spat.

Everyone except for Aoi nodded in agreement.

"Hmph, so I guess you won't be needing these then" Aoi said holding the strands of fur from the beast.

"Why would we need that?" Super Craig asked.

Aoi widened his eyes in surprise and quickly put the fur back into his bag.

"Oh hehe no reason" Aoi said nervously scratching his head.

So they don't know...he thought. Aoi cracked a small grin, this would make things even easier for him.

"For now we need to find shelter, then tomorrow Aoi will take us to the Kingdom" Mysterion said as he looked at the sun setting.

Eisu signed to Ikari, but Aoi also saw this and scooched back immediately.

"NO please don't, I swear I won't run away" Aoi pleaded as he stopped scooching back.

"Eisu says shouldn't we tie him up? I personally agree with her" Ikari said while smirking at Aoi.

Aoi glared at Ikari then looked at Mysterion. Mysterion tied his hands up anyway, even after Aoi tried bribing him with half a can of pringles. Mosquito had spotted an old shed, but it was too small. It had been almost half an hour and the rain had started sprinkling.

"Maybe we should go back to that shed" Super Craig suggested while trying to cover himself from the rain.

"We can't go back now the shed is probably miles away, by the time we reach it we'll be soaked, and the shed won't fit all of us" Mysterion said also trying to take cover from the rain.

They all started arguing but Eisu just sat there. Super Craig wasn't interested in arguing so he wandered away into the trees, hoping to find the fox again. 

The fox could help us find shelter, or maybe that time it could have just been a coincidence, Super Craig thought while walking deeper into the woods. 

Super Craig had gotten lost in his thoughts and forgot which way he came from, then he realized he was lost. Super Craig could have flown up and went back to the others, but it was pouring hard and the wind was harsh. The best thing for Super Craig to do now, was to try and find shelter for himself. He heard a yowl not too far away from him, his instincts told him to run away, but his gut told him to check it out. 

I probably should just go...Super Craig thought while walking slowly to the other direction. 

Then he immediately turned around and ran to the yowling noise. Super Craig stopped and saw that a white furry creature was stuck under a log, its face was in the other direction so Super Craig couldn't see the creature clearly. Super Craig used his super strength and moved the log off easily. The creature turned around and saw him. Super Craig recognized this creature, it was the white fox with red markings. Super Craig petted the fox and then he heard the others coming.
