A Hero's Journey - Mysterion's Story

Chapter 11

                                                                  The city didn't look just like any city, it was obvious that it was torn by war, most of the tall buildings were collapsed or overlapping, the road looked like Godzilla ran over it, and overall the whole place gave off a gloomy vibe.

"Wait so your telling me, we have to go there" Super Craig said pointing to the torn-up city.

Mysterion slowly nodded, still in disbelief of how messed up the city looked.

"We don't have all day c'mon!" Mosquito shouted while rolling down the hill laughing.

"Wait we have to be cautio- "Mysterion was about to say something but then Super Craig grabbed his arm and rolled down the hill with him laughing, while Mysterion was screaming. When they got to the bottom Super Craig and Mosquito were laughing on the ground, and Mysterion got up and walked toward the city, hoping they didn't see his beet-red face, he was embarrassed that he screamed right in front of his allies.

"Hurry up guys, I thought you said we didn't have all day" Mysterion said trying to stop his face from getting redder from embarrassment.

"Do you see that red house over there?" Yui chimed in.

"I GET IT OK, ITS AS RED AS MY FACE I KNOW" Mysterion shouted covering his face from embarrassment.

This made his friends laugh even harder to the point they were going to die of laughter.

"I was going to say you need to head there, but your quite right about that too," Yui said while giggling.

Mysterion stormed over to the house, then he noticed that this small red house hadn't collapsed or been burned. He took careful quiet steps toward the house. Maybe some of Kizuato soldiers are inside he thought cautiously. Mysterion looked through the window, nobody was there. He stood there for a while trying to hear if anyone was in the house, but all he heard was laughter from his friends. He opened the window and went in. He was observing his surroundings near him, it looked like this was the kitchen. He felt something lightly bump behind him. Mysterion turned around quickly ready to strike, but all he saw was Super Craig and Mosquito going through the window. Mysterion turned his face away quickly, hoping his face wasn't as red anymore.

"Go to the basement downstairs," Yui told him.

Mysterion did what she said and went downstairs hoping to find weapons of all kind down there, but all he found was a big wooden round table, some papers and files scrambled all over the floor, and lots of shelfs full of books.

"Pull every book out of the shelfs, one of them is a lever leading to the weapon storage," Yui said.

"You guys take all the books out of the shelfs, one of them is a lever," Mysterion repeated to his friends.

So they started pulling as many books as they could, until they're hands started cramping. There were too many books and far too many shelfs. Then, Mysterion got an idea.

"New plan, we push the bookshelf's from behind and see if any book stays on, if any do then it's the most likely the lever," Mysterion said walking to a shelf.

He pushed the shelf, but all the books fell off, Mosquito went to another one and pushed it, all the books fallen off too. Super Craig floated to a shelf and pushed it, but this time one book had stood on, Super Craig pulled the book, and suddenly the wall near him opened, and there were stairs that appeared.

"Way to go Craig," yelled Mosquito rushing down the stairs.

Mysterion and Super Craig ran after him,

"MOSQUITO WAIT WE HAVE TO BE CAREF- "Super Craig shouted, but then he stopped at the sight and so did Mysterion.

The secret underground area had weapons everywhere, and tables with chemical glass flasks, and papers filled with data. Super Craig picked up 2 heavy looking star-knifes, then threw one at the wall, he raised his hand up, and it instantly went back to him.

"Woah these are cool," Super Craig said observing the star-knifes he held in his hands.

Mysterion looked around, then he heard a shuffling noise, he moved closer to the sound. It was coming from under data sheets, he squatted down and moved the data sheets out of the way and found a sword. It wasn't just any knight in armor sword, but it had an emerald in the middle of it, just like the emerald amulet. There must be some type of connection Mysterion thought deeply. Who on earth would have this much weapons stored in their house though? he also thought. Mysterion looked over at Mosquito.

"Aren't you going to get anything?" Mysterion asked.

"Pftt of course not, I already have my awesome ranged attacks, I don't need some type of weapon to slow me down," Mosquito said heading upstairs.

"Oi where are you going?" asked Super Craig.

"While you guys are picking weapons to weigh you down..." Mosquito said dramatically,

"I'm going to see if the owner left any food behind," Mosquito shouted while running upstairs.

"WAIT FOR ME I'M HUNGRY TOO" Super Craig shouted as he ran after Mosquito.

So now Mysterion was left by himself in the secret area. He honestly was glad though, so he could think without his friends interrupting his thoughts for once.

"You seem deep in thought," Yui said chuckling.

Mysterion was quiet for a moment then he said,

"How do I defeat The Ruthless Fox?"
