A Hero's Journey - Mysterion's Story

Chapter 29

                          He blinked and woke up; he could see that the general was guarding the door. Mysterion woke everyone else and they got ready. During breakfast it would be just the general and Kyontari, with a few guards nearby, the general would carry the fur around him, and after all the symptoms showed, the general would give Kyontari medicine, which would contain some strands of the fur. Kyontari would be weak by then, Super Craig and Mosquito would jump from the second floor balcony and attack Kyontari, Ikari and Aoi would attack from the back, and Eisu would shoot arrows from the higher areas. The general would kill the guards and seal the exit off. 

                          Then when Kyontari was caught off guard, Mysterion would stab him, while Super Craig and the general would grab Kyontari's hands, preventing him from healing himself. If that plan didn't work, Mysterion didn't what would. The general had already left ahead to go to The Great Hall and everyone else went to their positions. Mysterion looked from the balcony to see Kyontari and the general talking. Kyontari had started sneezing and coughing between sentences. He could see the general offering Kyontari medicine, he accepted it and ate some of the pills. The general went back to his seat and sat down eating breakfast. Kyontari started eating as well, but then he dropped his fork, and started coughing. The general asked him if he was alright, and Mysterion saw that from the balcony Mosquito and Super Craig were leaning in ready to pounce.

"Excuse me, I (sneeze) need to head back" Kyontari said getting up.

Kyontari started walking back, Mosquito and Super Craig jumped from the balcony, Mosquito shot a ranged attack, but then Kyontari used one of his force fields and blocked it.

"Were you a part of this?" Kyontari said glaring at his nephew.

The general took a glance at his uncle, grinned, then ran to attack the guards charging at him. Kyontari looked surprised at first, but then had a plain look on his face after that. Mysterion saw Aoi and Ikari running from the back, and Eisu on the top balcony aiming at Kyontari. Aoi and Ikari clashed their swords at Kyontari, but he had grabbed a dagger from his pocket just in time to block both swords. Super Craig threw his star-knifes at him, Kyontari ducked back, but the star-knifes had left a small scratch on his cheek. Kyontari raised his hand and a sword came flying towards him, Aoi and Ikari ducked, and Kyontari grabbed the sword, and raised it aiming at Aoi, but an arrow came shooting at him, it was from Eisu. Kyontari quickly turned around and blocked the arrow with his sword, Aoi got up and tried slashing him, he turned back around and blocked Aoi's sword. Ikari got up and ran behind Kyontari and raised his sword about to strike. Kyontari raised his hand ducked down touching the ground. The ground suddenly rumbled, and a blast went through the floor, everyone on the first floor instantly flew back and stumbled down. Even though Mysterion was on the third floor he could feel as if he was going to fall.

"Did you forget about my powers; you won't kill me that easily" Kyontari said while smirking.

Eisu shot multiple arrows at Kyontari but he moved away quickly, Kyontari flew up raising his sword at Eisu, she quickly blocked the sword with her hands. Mosquito shot one of his attacks at Kyontari, he wasn't able to block it in time, causing him to stumble down. Eisu quickly shot an arrow at Kyontari, and it went right through his right shoulder. Kyontari regained his balance in the air, his hand glowed and he put it on his bleeding arm, it instantly healed. Kyontari started coughing uncontrollably.

"What did you give me?" Kyontari asked looking straight at his nephew.

"Why Byoku fur of course uncle" the general said getting up.

"Why you little- (cough, cough)" Kyontari said as he raised his hand.

Mysterion noticed that Kyontari's hand tried to glow but it just flickered. His allergies are starting to drain his energy, Mysterion thought.

"Once you start noticing more symptoms appearing, strike quickly, until then stay out of sight" Yui spoke.

Ikari got up and ran at Kyontari clashing his swords with him, Kyontari pushed back and swung his sword, Ikari ducked it. Aoi came running from behind, Kyontari turned around and tried blocking it but Aoi's grip was strong, he knocked Kyontari's sword right off his hands. Super Craig flew over and took the sword. Eisu shot an arrow at him, at the same time Mosquito shot one of his ranged attacks at him. Kyontari raised his hand and a blast went through the whole place, the ceiling started falling apart, Mysterion ducked and ran up the stairs, trying to reach the highest floor.

"If you really thought you could kill me, your (cough) sadly mistaken" Kyontari said while floating back down.

All of Mysterion's friends were having trouble getting back up from the wave of the blast, even Mosquito was struggling. Kyontari was walking towards them but then the general charged at him. Kyontari was about to raise his hand but then Eisu shot an arrow that went directly through his hand.

"ARGHH" Kyontari yelled.

He flew up before the general could slash him with his sword. Kyontari quickly healed himself, and then shot a ranged attack at Eisu, but she quickly ran to the other side and shot an arrow at him, but Kyontari ducked it in time. Super Craig flew up and threw his star-knifes at him. Kyontari moved out of the way, but it left a deep wound on his leg, causing him to stumble and fall. As Kyontari was trying to regain balance in the air, the general jumped high enough to reach his uncle, then he punched him as hard as he could in the stomach. Which made him fly all the way outside into the plains that were near the palace, breaking eight walls, including the brick wall on the way. Mysterion was now on the roof, he could see that Kyontari was laying on the plains all covered in wounds. They all ran forward, and Mysterion jumped on the roofs of other houses heading towards the plains. Kyontari was healing his wounds, by the time they got there, Kyontari had one wound left on his arm. He was about to heal it, but they had already arrived, so Kyontari summoned another sword and decided to heal it later.

"Stay back, I'll handle this" the general ordered as he lunged at his uncle.

Kyontari ducked to the left and raised his sword, the general quickly blocked it and they both clashed swords.

"Even you wouldn't be able to kill me" Kyontari said pushing his nephew off.

The two relatives fought for a couple of minutes, clashing their swords at each other. The general quickly ran to the right side, away from his uncle. Kyontari was confused, he turned around, but not quick enough. Mosquito had shot one of his attacks at him, Kyontari stumbled but didn't fall. He was about to raise his hand to heal himself, but then a sword slashed his arm from behind. Kyontari's hand plopped down onto the ground, blood splattered everywhere. He shouted in pain and turned around to see who had chopped his hand off. Mysterion was behind him, holding a sword that was covered in blood.
