A year later After the War
Draco
It's a dull surrounding now, wherever I look it's constantly just distasteful.
Words can't describe what it's like to wake up and she's not there.
But unfortunately I can.
Not a soul knows what it's like to turn the corner and hope she's present--but I do.
Aurora
Death eaters were put up for trials, most of them got locked up for good, yet some made their claims and were spared, Pansy was lucky enough, yet not all of them would have been. Lucius Malfoy was one who got sentenced for life.
Returning home after the war was not easy, moving on never was, yet it was necessary, it was needed. I had to let myself accept things for what it was, we all did. I rarely kept in touch with Narcissa and Pansy or anyone from Hogwarts, it were as if everyone parted ways, the devastation carried through, yet with time the war was merely a memory to many. Most people tried to forget what happened during that point in time, including me, I tried my best to not only carry on with my days, but also try to put those very moments in the back of my head, especially certain ones of certain individuals. Until of course I had gotten an owl from the Malfoy herself.
Aurora,
It's been a year exactly since the war, although it was indeed not a time to remember, we still owe it to those we lost, as well as ourselves to pay our remembrance of what happened during those dark times. You've probably suppressed the memory, but if you would join me and hopefully Parkinson at Hogwarts later this evening we can all let go, once and for all.
We owe It to ourselves, I know I do.
Narcissa Malfoy
I didn't anticipate getting a letter from someone with the name Malfoy ever again, yet there was truth in her words, although its been a year, we all went our separate ways far too quick, we had to deal with loss after loss, maybe closure was due, If not for me then at least for them.
After all, we all dealt with similar encounters during those times.
"Aurora, you came." Narcissa spoke as I set foot on the cold Hogwarts grounds, they did all they could to repair the damaged runes, yet it was as clear as day that war had struck, yet it was very apparent that it had been a while since then.
"It's been too long." said Pansy as she stood right beside, she looked different, she looked alive, if it were anyone who deserved to be in a better state, it was her.
"Its been a full year, look at you two I could barely recognize the both of you." Narcissa spoke as she looked at us with soft eyes. We looked a lot different to the eye, merely because of the fact that we weren't fighting for our life--or loosing someone every second of the day. She too looked more blissful, she missed Draco--that was her son, she cared for him more than herself.
"This place holds a lot more than one would think dosen't it?" Pansy said as we all stood at the foot of the school, no one knew if it were to be rebuilt, but I hoped it did. I created more memories in that place that still are as vivd as day.
"Yes, yes it does." I say as I form a smile, a slight one, I met them all in that very place, we were all once just students with minuscule problems at one point. Then we were soon facing the dark itself, It was strange how that was merely a year ago.
"He loved it here, no clue why but he did." Pansy softly spoke, as we still faced forward at the place we grew up in, she was speaking of Blaise, a years time was not nearly long enough to wear off the ties he had to her. She could indeed find closure, with time came that exact thing we needed, then again he loved her with all he had and she did as well, no measure of time could fade that away.
