Chapter 17: Trouble and Flashbacks

Tobias POV

We all sit in the waiting room at the dauntless headquarters hospital.
"I knew you should never have gone to that game!" Evelyn scolds. Yeah that makes it a lot better my "mommy" is yelling at all of us.
"Don't you roll you're eyes at me young man!" She says to me.

I close my eyes and think of Tris. I remember one time she got knocked out like this.

FLASHBACK

Tris POV

It's the end of school and I have volleyball practice. I walk to my locker and sure enough Peter, Molly, and Drew are there. Peter smiles evilly and throws me against the locker.

"How are you stiff?" He says holding me in place. I kick him as hard as I can in the place that hurts. He yells and I run. Molly helps him and Drew chases me. I run as fast as I can and look behind me at Drew. He also does track and is gaining on me. Then I run into something and knock it over.

"WATCH IT TINY!" Four shouts. O haven't seen him since he got me in detention yesterday. Two arms pull me and throw me across the hall and everything goes black.

Tobias POV

I get up and punch Drew as hard as I can. Then I hear voices down the hall. Tonight is open house. If the principal saw me with two people knocked out and he's brining parents around I would get expelled for sure.

I grab Drew and shove him in a locker, by this time they are so close I can't shove Tris in a locker or they would see me. I pick her up and wrap her limp arm around my waist and put an arm around her should. Then I look at her eyes and they are closed. I grab my shades from my bag and put them on her just in time.

They parents walk by and all the moms smile. Principal Max looks at us confused. He knows we hate each other.
"I'll explain later." I mouth to him. He nods suspiciously but still glad I didn't ruin the open house visit.

I take off the shades I put on Tris and put them back in my pocket.
Great what do I do with an unconscious Tris? I think to myself.

I open up the locker I put Drew in and he falls on his face, still unconscious. I hear Molly and Peter run down the hall. I put on arm under her knees and another around her shoulders.
Gosh she's light, I think.

I start to run and go out the door quickly so Peter doesn't see us. When I walk out I see the crew and walk over to them.
"What did you do to Tris!?" Shauna says.
"It wasn't me it was Drew." I respond.

"Anyways I have no idea what to do with her." I say.
"Um?" Zeke says then gets an evil smile.
"NO!" All the girls say.
"You guys may hate Tris but were still her friend!" Marlene says.

"Give her to me." Shauna says and carries her away.

FLASHBACK ENDS WHEN THE DOCTOR WALKS IN

"She just woke up." he says. I get up and walk in the room.
"We're dead aren't we?" She says when she sees me.
"Yup, but my mom already yelled at is I think she blew off all her steam." I say.

She gets up and gives me a kiss and we walk out.
