Chapter 14: Allegiant

I walk over to Four and kiss him on the cheek. He turns around quickly to make sure it's me.
"Hey" he says leaning on the lockers. I look at him and smile. The fall dance is tonight and it has been a month since I found out he was abused and we got back together.

"You excited?" He says.
"Oh? For what?" I says twirling my hair with a blank expression on my face like some dumb blond girl.
"Oh, I don't know?" He says in the same tone of voice then looks around like he's looking for some answer.

We both laugh then I kiss him.
"Yes, how bout you?" I say.
"Not really." he says ruining the moment. Then he smiles kisses me and says, "Very excited."

Time lapse

I swear school can't get any more boring. It's lunch and only halfway through the day and I feel like I'm going to die. I sit next to Four and he puts his arm around me. I get up to throw my lunch away when I see something weird. I see him.

Ex boyfriend. Control freak. Cheater. Wisconsin. My old friends. Four. Jacob.

I walk as fast as I can back to the table hoping he doesn't see me. The bell rings just as I get to the table.
"You guys." I say.
"My ex boyfriend is here."
They all stare at me. I already told them about Jacob. On how I tried to break up with him for two years.

It all started in 7th grade. This guy had a crush on me. He asked me every day for two years. Every adult thought he was nice plus his dad was the principal. Finally I said yes and thought once I started to "like" him he would stop liking me, like some people do.

The worst mistake of my life. He wouldn't let me talk to any of my guy friends. And on the weekends he wouldn't let me hangout with my friends cause he would always plan a date but would never come or pick me up.

So I decided to finally tell him I wanted to break up with him. He almost killed me that night. He started yelling at me and saying "YOU CANT DO THAT YOUR MY GIRLFRIEND." and then he would slap me or throw me against the wall.

That's the only reason I was happy about leaving Wisconsin. The only people who knew were my brother and friends. Once my friend Aubrey pulled a prank in him and then my friend Maya got sent the principals office because she took the blame. I guess that's why I miss Wisconsin so much is my friends and what they would do for each other.

Four gets up and puts on arm around me and blocks Jacobs view. We started to walk fast and the others followed all standing between me and Jacob. I didn't even notice I was crying until a tear fell down my cheek.

Four pulled me around a corner and looked me in the eyes.
"Are you ok? Do you want to go home?" He asks while my friends all crowd around me.
"I can't, my parents won't let me." I say.
"I saw him in the hallways in the beginning of school maybe he's here just on breaks." Lynn says.
"Well we always need someone by Tris at all times." Zeke says. I nod and we all head to class.

As I walk into class Jacob is sitting next to Peter and has his back to me. Then the pieces come together. Jacob has a cousin named Peter who lived in Chicago. Jacob Hayes, Peter Hayes. How could I have been so stupid?

I quickly take a seat and cover my face with my hair and Tobias sits next to me. The class goes by slowly and I slowly turn my head to look at Jacob for the first time and he is glaring at me. I turn away immediately and my breathing quickens.

Four notices and turns to Jacob and glares at him. Luckily if looks could kill Jacob would be pushing daisies. I look and Jacob looks pretty scared and he is looking straight ahead. He's a blond and not that strong, but he was skilled in a lot of things. Four on the other hand is almost twice as tall and strong as Jacob.

Class goes by quicker after that and soon the next periods fly by and it's the end of the day. I'm going to go to Christina's house with Lynn, Marlene, and Shauna. We already went dress shopping last Friday so we just have to get ready.

I'm wearing a black dress with a sweetheart neckline thats made of diamonds Marlene is wearing a short puffy pink dress, Christina a puffy green prom dress, Shauna a long purple dress, and Lynn is wearing a tight dark blue dress that shows off her curves.

We finish our makeup which is really heavy and we get into the limo. As we get in we see the guys and we all sit next to our dates except for Lynn and Al who decided to go as friends. I really think they should hook up, whoa I'm started to sound like a girly girl.

"You look beautiful." Four whispers in my ear.
"You look pretty snazzy yourself." I say adjusting his tie. We kiss and Lynn starts making hacking noises. We turn around to see everyone staring at us. Then they start bursting into laughter.
"You should've seen your face!" Uriah shouts between laughter.

Tobias pulls Uriah's tie so it messes up his suit. Uriah gasps so loud I think he's going to faint.
"You... you... how could? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT!" He says fake crying.
"Careful, you'll smear your make up!" Four says in a girly voice. Uriah gasps.
"I totally forgot." he says in the same tone.

"Marlene, baby did I smear anything." he says posing.
"Yeah a little right there." she says gesturing to his lips and then kisses him.

Time lapse

It's been 20 minutes and we still haven't arrived.
"I thought it only took 5 minutes to get to school from here." Four whispers in my ear.
"Yeah." I say and look around and can tell everyone is thinking the same thing.

I lean over and look at the driver. He has an ear piece in and has dark sun glasses even though it's dark out.
"Um excuse me when are we going to be there?" I ask him. He takes a sharp turn causing everyone to fall over because there are no seat belts.

I look at Four who is on the ground and we exchange a worried look.
"Soon." the driver says. He has a very low and deep voice that makes me shudder. It's to dark to see outside. And then I realize we aren't in the city anymore.

"Hey! Where are we going!?" Zeke shouts standing up. All of a sudden I get a sharp pain in my right calf. I fall to my knees and things start to blur. I see the others fall to the ground but I won't. I need to find out what's going on. A dark figure apears in front of me and everything goes black.

Sry it took me like a week to update I dropped my phone in the snow and it won't charge. I had a whole chapter on that so I had to rewrite it on my iPod.
