Chapter 15: Evelyn

I wake up in a hospital bed. I look around and see Four next to me and Lynn on the other side. I get up and shake Four and try to wake him up.
"Tris," a voice says from behind. O turn around see a middle aged woman who reminds me of someone but I don't know who.

"I'm glad your up!" She says as if she knows me.
"What's going on?" I say backing up.
"Oh I'm sorry." she says. "Therese will you please explain what's going on?" She says.
Therese rolls her eyes. "It's always me isn't it." she grumbles.

"Certain leaders in the government have been trying to take over the Untied States. One you know as Marcus Eaton." At his name I shudder and remember Tobias being beat. "You see they are going to eliminate the entire Declaration of Independence and start the entire country over. Therefore we must stop the attack and keep the citizens and the country safe from them." she says as if she has said it a million times.
"We are called the Allegiant." the other woman says.

I stand there trying to process it all,
Marcus is evil? Well I knew that but I didn't know take over the country evil. United States leaders are trying to destroy the country? And why am I apart of this?

Four starts to toss and turn and slowly his eyes open. I'm still backed up and I apparently I look confused and scared because he gets up right away and stands inbetween me and the people who just explained everything to me.

"Evelyn, we agreed we would do this next year." he says talking to the middle aged woman.
Evelyn? Why do I know that name?

"Well Tobias, we couldn't wait until next year. They are planning an attack in two weeks." Evelyn says.

How does she know his real name?

"Tobias?" I whisper. He turns to me and his eyes soften.
"Give us a moment." he says to them then leads me into an empty hallway.
"Explain!" I say. He looks at me and rests one arm on the wall hovering over me, which makes me feel even smaller and weaker than I already am.

"They told you what the government is planing right?" He asks.
"Yes but what do you have to do with it and why does that lady know your real name?" I say. He sighs, "That lady um, Evelyn, she's my mom." he says scratching the back of his neck.
"I thought she was dead!" I say loudly.

That's who she looks like.

"So did I, until two years ago when I found out about the government. I was planning on telling you guys soon but we weren't going to take action until next year, but I guess they are going to attack so we have to be ready to defend ourselves." he says.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?"
"I told you I was, soon." he says. "Come on." he says and we go back to the room where the others are. They must if just heard the same story I did cause they either look confused scared or just plain dumb (Uriah and Zeke).

"Why would they do that?" Marlene says looking scared.
"Who knows." Fours says as he walks in.
"You knew about this?" Zeke asks. Here we go again. I have to get out of here, I don't care where I just have to.

I walk away and can feel all the eyes starring at me. I walk down the same empty hallway take a right making sure I know where I'm going so I can get back.

After a two right turns and four left turns I end up in what looks like a training room. There are targets on one end of the room done for knife throwing and some for shooting. Then there are ten fighting areas in a row.

I hear someone run into the room and see Tobias. I see you've found the training room. I hear more footsteps and soon the whole gang us in the training room looking around.
"What is this place?" Lynn asks.
"This is the training room." Four says.
"This is where we'll train." he says with an evil grin on his face.

Sry guys school is stupid and I hate I've been up till 10 doing my hw these last couple days.
