Chapter 10: Together?

Monday mornings are the worst. Still I survive. I can't stop thinking about Four kissing me though. We didn't talk much after, we still acted like we hated each other. It was all just an accident.

After school the gang and I are going swimming at Christina's house. She said the gang but I hope she doesn't mean Four. I really don't want to see him.

Time lapse

I walk into the cafeteria and see Fours group and the gang sitting together, great they must be invited too. I put on my best smile and walk over to them, only to be stopped by a strong arm pinning me to the wall, Peter.

"Let go of me." I say as calmly as possible.
"Why would I do that?" He says getting really close to my mouth. Then four hands grab him and pull him off me, Four and Uriah.

Uriah punches him and Four grabs my arm leading me away from the cafeteria and my friends. He leads me to an empty hallway and rests his arm on the wall.
"Listen, about the other night..."
"It was an accident." we say at the same time.
"Yeah." I say. He looks down then nods his head.
"Yeah I can't afford to be in a relationship right know that would be really bad for my social status." Four says rubbing his neck.
" Yeah cause going out with the new girl is so uncool." I say then storm off.

"Where were you guys? You missed Uriah beating the crap out of Peter." says Zeke proudly, once we get back.
"To talk." I say before Four can say anything.

Time lapse

After school I ride in Christina's car with the gang. We talk and Uriah gets a truck driver to flip him off. We get there ten minutes later and change into our swimsuits. All the girls off course wear bikinis even Lynn. My swim suit is all black and has golden beads on it, Christina picked it out and it's a little to small for my taste but I really don't have a choice.

I'm the last one out cause I had to remove my makeup then put waterproof makeup on. When I come out everyone stares at me, probably because I have abs and am pretty tan.

Someone calls for me by the pool and I go and realize it was Lynn. Right when I get out someone pushes me in the water. Just cause I was pissed I swam to the bottom and stayed there for about thirty seconds then Will jumped in and "rescued" me.

When we reach the surface I start to laugh. They all glare at me.
"We thought you drowned!" Christina shouts. Four gives me a hand but then I pull him in. The next thing I know everyone is in the pool splashing each other and squirting each other with squirt guns.

"CHICKEN FIGHT!" Shauna shouts. Everyone goes on top of their boyfriend's shoulder and Lynn and Al decide to go out so I go on Four's shoulders. Me and Four are both very competitive so we have a good chance at winning.

Uriah shouts "CHARGE!" and starts running at us and we run at him. It looks so weird cause the water is slowing us down so it looks like it's in slow motion. I collide with Marlene and Four starts wrestling with Uriah. Four takes Uriah down almost instantly.

Me and Four cheer and then see Zeke and Shauna took down Will and Christina. We go toward them and start to fight, out of nowhere Lynn and Al jump on all of us sending us underwater.
"I win!" Lynn and Al shout.

We get out and dry ourselves off and then realize it's getting dark. Christina then turns on the pool lights which change colors.
"How about thirty more minutes then you guys go home!" Christina says. We all agree and jump back in the water.

When I jump in I accidentally land on top of Four. He laughs then throws me in his back giving me a piggy back ride.
"Hold your breathe and hold on!" he says. He dives underwater bringing me with and he swims to the bottom of the deep end. I get off his back then we look at each other and smile, why we smiled I have no idea. Then we swim to the top and catch our breathes, only to see all of our friends left us.

"Classic Zeke." Four says, "I bet they're spying on us right now." he says and swims to the stairs and I follow. When we are out Four looks around and then turns to me. He puts his hands on my bare hips and I wrap my arms around his neck and press my lips to his. We kiss for about two minutes then pull apart.

"That wasn't an accident." he says pressing his forehead to mine.
"No, no it wasn't." I say.
"We can't tell them." he says.
"We defiantly can't tell them."
"And dating the new girl is actually cooler than you think." he says with a smirk.

Time lapse

It's Tuesday night and Four is taking me on a date. I wear a black skirt with tights and a a white shirt with a leather jacket. It looks like something Four would like, wait what why am I thinking these things he shouldn't be changing me!

I go in the bathroom and put on makeup. Smokey eyes with extra eyeliner as always and dark red lipsticks. I put my favorite perfume on, dark forest, and then the doorbell rings. I run downstairs to see my dad has already got the door.

"Hey daddy!" I say.
"Hey sweetie who's this?" He says a lot nicer than I thought he would.
"This is my friend Four." I say motioning to Four.
"Nice to meet you sir." Four says and they shake hands.
"Oh Beatrice we are going car shopping for you and Caleb tomorrow so you both can have a car alright." my dad says.
"Alright can't wait." I say and give my dad a kiss on the cheek and walk out the door with Four.

We get in his Ferrari and he backs out of our driveway, once he's on the rode we start to talk.
"So car shopping?" He says.
"Yeah once my dad became the mayor we had enough money to afford a lot of things that we couldn't before." I say.
"Oh, well I'm having a party Friday night are you gonna come?" He asks. I think about it for a moment.
"Sure but I'm not playing truth or dare." I say glaring at him, and he laughs. I can't believe after all he's done to me that we are actually going on a date. We arrive at Candor Palace five minutes later.

We get a table for two and look at the menu. Everything is black and white here it's so cool. Once we order we sort of just sit there waiting in an awkward silence.

"You look very beautiful." Four says.
"Thank you you look very handsome." I say.
"So will we ever tell the others?" I ask.
"I know you don't want your brother to find out and I don't want my dad to find out." he shutters at the word dad.
"So what do your parents do?" I say.
"My dad is actually the governor and my mom died giving birth." he says looking down.
"Oh I'm sorry." I say also looking down, then I look up, "Wait your dad is the governor!?" I almost shout.

"Yeah." he says it like it's no big deal. Right then our food comes and looks delicious. I ordered a chicken salad and Four ordered salmon. We take a bite and look at each other and smile.
"This is amazing!" I say. Then we start to eat quicker.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom." I say and get up. When I walk in no ones there. When I wash my hands I reach for the handle but someone on the other side pulls it open first, Molly.

She smiles a cruel smile.
"Hey Peter!" She yells to Peter who is sitting at a booth with Drew not to far away. Peter and Drew get up smiling the same way Molly is.

They corner me and I don't know what to do. I run forward but Drew grabs me and throws me on the ground.
"FOUR!" I scream. Four comes running and punches Molly in the gut, Drew in the jaw, and he punches Peter almost everywhere.

Before Four can do any more damage to Peter, two waiters pull Four off him and kick us out. Four gives me an apologetic look and gets up and helps me up.

As we walk to our car Four asks, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm sort of used to it, and at least now we know how to get free food." I say. Four laughs and opens the door for me.
"Milady." He says as he opens it.
"Thank you kind sir." I say and hop in the car.

The car ride is 5 minutes and we talk about nothing really important. We pull in my driveway, and I just sit there for a moment.

"Thank you," I say, "for a splendid dinner." He then leans forward and kisses me slowly. After about a minute we pull away and I look in the house to see if anyone saw. Thankfully no one did I look back at Four and smile. He smiles back and without another word I get out of the car and walk into the house.
