Chapter 38: 4 Years Later

I wake up in Tobias' warm arms.
"Tobias." I say and shake him a little.
He grunts and rolls over bringing me with him.
"Four." I say in am irritated tone which wakes him up a little more.

"Today's Toby's first day." I whisper. That gets him up.
"What?" He says jumping out of bed.
"His first day of 4k." I say laughing.

He frowns then we hear one of our daughters crying.
"I got it." I say and get up.
"No I got it." He says hugging me from behind stopping me.

Then we hear the our other daughter crying.
"Looks like we both got it." I say and we walk over to our twin daughters room.

I pick up CeCe and Tobias picks up Victoria, our two one year old daughters.

"Mommy daddy!" Toby yells and runs in the room a dressed and with his backpack.
"Look at me! I'm ready for school!" He yells lifting his black backpack for us to see which frankly has nothing in it except safety scissors and markers.

"Time for school time for school!" He shouts running away.
"Did you brush your teeth?" I yell to him. He comes back with his head low.
"No." I squeaks.

"Bathrooms that way." Four days and points to the bathroom. Tony only grins and runs and hugs Tobias' legs.
"No!" He says smiling.

"Oh yeah? RAHGGHH!" And Tobias chases Toby around the whole house while he's screaming.
I put CeCe down and run after them.

I jump on Tobias' back just as he's tickling Toby.
"Run Toby! Run for your life!" I shriek and instead of tickling Toby Tobias turns and starts tickling me.

I scream and laugh and kick while Toby grabs Tobias' leg again pulling it as hard as he can.
"I have a compromise!" I scream while laughing.

"How about we all brush our teeth together!" I squeal. Tobias stops tickling and raises an eyebrow at me and smirks.
"Fine." He says then throws me over his shoulder and picks Toby up.

He puts me down and Toby on a stool while we brush our teeth.
"Can you believe it mommy? I'm going to school today!" Toby rants on.

"Yeah we'll make sure you stay with Jaycee." I say. Jaycee is Shaunas and Zeke's daughter. They also have a two year old son, Benny. Chris and Will have triplets two boys and a girl, Ken, Drake, and Charlotte. Then there's Marlene and Uriah, they've got a little boy named Henry who's 3. Lynn on the other hand is engaged to a dauntless soldier named Zane.

The doorbell rings and Toby runs to the door with me and Tobias following him. He opens the door and Jaycee comes running in and hugs Toby knocking him over.

I laugh right as Zeke and Shauna walk in the door with little Benny.
"Hey guys." Four says and he man hugs Zeke while I hug Shauna. Then Zeke engulfs me in a bear hug.

"There first day." Shauna says with tears in her eyes. We watch as Toby and Jaycee hug each other not letting go of each other.

"I can't wait!" Toby says relaxing his arm over Jaycee.
"I bet everyone will be nice to us cause our parents are famous!" Jaycee says jumping up and down. We all exchange nervous looks.

We've been discussing how they'll be treated and we hope it's not badly. At least they'll always have each other.

"Toby!" Benny says jumping up and down in his moms arms. Shauna puts him down and he hugs Toby.

"Can I get a picture of your first day of school?" Shauna asks them.
"Yeah we're models!" Toby says and they all strike a pose as Shauna and I take photos of them.

"The bus is here!" Charlotte chirps and they both run outside. Then Charlotte stops right as they're about to get in the bus and Toby stops as well. Then they both coming running back and jump into there moms arms then their dads.

When they go into the bus we watch as the bus drives away onto the highway.

We walk inside and all sit.
"Everyone else is coming in soon." I say and get up and bring back corn cakes.

Zeke and Four grab three and gobble them down quickly and Shauna and I have one.

The doorbell rings and the rest of our friends come in. When we all sit down its quiet. We look at the floor and thrive in our old memories.

When Tobias and I first met.
When I found out he was abused.
Dating
Becoming famous
Breaking up
Joining the Allegiant
Falling in love all over again
Fighting beside each other
Getting married
And starting a family.

Sometimes life tears you down, and you fall. But you always have to get back up. Determination and motivation, life nearly killed me but you need to soldier on.

"We made it." Four says. Then he leans really close in my ear,"I love you." He says with all the sincerity in the world.
"I love you too."
