(Lyric's POV)

We got back from a fun lunch at the Irwin house and brought Lauren and Harry back to sleepover. Ashton was pretty excited and so was I. Even Lycia seemed pretty happy. It was about 2 p.m. and I sent Ashton to fetch the groceries.

"I'll go. I need to pull my weight around here if I'm gonna stay here. I feel bad doing this to you guys." Lycia chimed.

"Okay, I sent you both the list of errands. See you later." I pecked Ash's cheek and hugged Lycia goodbye.

"Can we swim?" Harry cheered, ice cream still on his face. I nodded, laughing as they raced to get changed and jump in.

This gave me the perfect opportunity to text Calum:

Lyric: come over here. we need to talk
Calum: ok, 10 minutes

He knocked on the door and I yelled from the dining room. "COME IN."

"What if I was an axe murderer? And the yelling? Please stop, still extremely hungover." He groaned, sitting across from me as I was putting some lyrics together. "Why do we need to talk?"

I put my work down and slowly looked up at him. "I'm gonna be brutally honest with you here, Calum. You fucked up, like really badly. Walk me through your thought process that night because I simply cannot wrap my head around it." He sighed, composing himself and preparing his speech. "You're basically under trial right now. I'm just letting you know."

"Okay, well I saw that Lycia was texting Derek...again." He struggled to say. "And I was just thinking about this dick and what he did and it ticked me off. I thought I was just getting back at her. "

"Why the hell did you need to get back at her? Do you even realize that you did the same shit that he did to her? After you promise on your life that you wouldn't? And you dare get mad at what he did." I shouted incredulously. Luckily, the kids were still outside so they couldn't hear me about to cuss this asshole out. "YOU FUCKING CHEATED? DO YOU GET THAT? HAS THAT MADE ITS WAY TO YOUR BRAIN? ALL YOU GIVE A DAMN ABOUT IS THE FACT THAT DEREK AND LYCIA STILL TALK! THEIR FAMILIES ARE FRIENDS SO GET THE FUCK OVER IT! SHE LOVED YOU, CALUM! MORE THAN ANYTHING AND YOU COUDLN'T GET YOUR HEAD FAR ENOUGH OUT OF YOUR ASS TO SEE THAT! SHE CARED ABOUT YOU MORE THAN ANYONE AND ALL YOU CARED ABOUT IS YOUR DAMN EGO! I don't know if she still loves you or not, but I wouldn't blame her if she didn't." I shouted, straining my voice. "I don't wanna hear your bullshit and fussing about her leaving you and wanting to stay away. If you cared, like really and truly gave a shit about her, you would see that you caused her a lot of pain. Did you see her yesterday? She was a mess. And it was like that all week. You couldn't sober up or admit to the fact that it wasn't that girl's fault. It was yours. And it will be until you make it right."

He sat in silence, defeated. "You should just go, Calum." I sighed and he left. He still had the awful smell of booze and cigarette smoke. He better grow up.

(Lycia's POV)

"So...how are you feeling?" Ashton asked me awkwardly as we made our way down the frozen section.

I shrugged. "I'm not really sure right now. I'm kind of in that stage where I'm feeling nothing. Or I'm just refusing too." There was a long pause as we slowly filled the basket. "What's it like? Being with someone for so long?"

"It's kind of nice. It's comforting, the familiarity. And it means I have someone that I know is always down to adventure. I mean sure, being single would be fun, but it just wouldn't be the same." He replied.

"You realize we've never really had a one on one talk before? Unless I was threatening you not to hurt Lyric?"

"Hmm, yeah. You're right. I like you a lot less hostile." He laughed. "Listen, I know that you and Calum aren't really... y'know...right now, and that Calum is one of my best mates, but I'm supporting you on this. I think what he did was wrong, and I am 100% there for you."
