Flashback

*flashback*

"Lyric, this is Ashton, the guy I was telling you about." Daisy said pointing to the guy next to her and winking at me.

He sipped his drink and turned to look at me.

"Hi, I'm Lyric." I put out a hand.

He shook my hand nervously,"Um hi, I'm Ash as Daisy said. Wow. Sorry for stuttering...but you look," he looked into my eyes"absolutely stunning." He smiled widely at me.

I blushed and sheepishly said, "Um, thanks. I didn't really try hard, I kinda dressed down actually." I looked down at my cropped sweater and shorts that showed my stomach off a bit.

"Wow, I feel like a goof. I dressed up. Daisy said I'm meeting this amazing girl, and here you are, looking great and you didn't try. And then there's me, I dressed up and I look awful." He looked so bummed.

"Well, I think you look very good-looking." I smirked.

For awhile we stood there just looking at each other and smiling. Daisy left and Ash said, "So I'm in a band, you should swing by one of our shows and check it out."

"Really? What's your band called?" I stared up at him. Daisy did a good job.

He had light brown floppy hair with a bandana tied over it. He was very good looking and his smile just absolutely melted me.

"5 Seconds of Summer, kind of a pop rock, punk sort of feel, if you're into that." He shrugged trying to seem cool, but coming off adorably awkward.

"I'd actually really like to see you play. But one condition, you come see my band, Unsung Youth play. We play the same type of stuff, actually."

"Deal." He laughed. "What do you play?"

"Guitar. But I'm really into drummers, like a lot." I giggled. This is going so well, I thought.

"Well it just so happens I'm a drummer." He smirked at me.

"Well then your chances are very good." I joked, and he laughed along, thankfully.

*end of flashback*

"Lyric, Lyr, Lyr..." Lycia stood before me snapping her fingers. "We have one more song to practice, keep your head in the game, yeah?" I nodded quickly as Tasia started off our last song of the setlist, the one I wrote with Ash.

~~after rehearsal~~

"Hey Ash! What are you guys doing?" I greeted as Ash called me after rehearsal.

"The boys and I are just goofing arou--STOP IT!!" He interrupted himself followed by the sound of nerf guns. "Sorry, babe. Anyways, I'm just waiting for you to come back to the hotel. I love you."

"I love you most." I spoke softly as I hung up. "Alright for tomorrow, a lot of people are coming to this show, it's a huge venue. I'm so anxious, but let's have a fuckin' rocking second show tomorrow night." We all cheered and jumped around the van.

"Hey! Don't forget your turning 19 tomorrow, this is huge!!!" Tasia cheered.

"I really just wanna spend it with you guys and the boys. I'm not sure how it could get any better than that."
