(Lyric's POV)

I bought the tickets on the way there and had our bags packed for the trip. I'm not going to interfere with Lycia and Cal. Hell, I might not even see Lycia while I'm here. My main purpose is just to see out that Calum is fixing his shit. As we sat at the terminal, I realized I can go see my family and some old friends. Despite the big reason I'm going back home, I'm excited for this small trip.

My phone rang and I answered Ashton's call. "Still can't believe you're going all the way back on short notice."

"Well hello to you too, sunshine." I laughed.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. Hi. I'm just worried for you two is all. Are you sure you don't want me to catch the next flight out to be with you?"

I pressed. "Spend time with your family, Ash. You haven't seen them much and I don't wanna steal you away."

"Okay....how's Cal Cal?"

I groaned at the awful nickname. "He's fine. Doesn't look hungover or anything. I'm feel weird, though. Shouldn't have gotten high."

"Then I'm definitely coming. When does your flight leave? In three hours? I'm coming just wait." His voice was hurried and sounded as if he was already moving to pack.

"Ash..no." I spoke slowly, feeling myself talk weird.

"If you're not letting me come with you tell Calum to take care of you. Actually I will. I'll talk to you later, babe. I love you." His voice was a bit harsh before he hung up.

I knew Ashton didn't like me doing all this stuff. But I was just having some fun. Maybe even take some off the edge off. It'll be fine. I breathed a little before pulling my phone back out. Calum was sitting across from me and I saw he got a call, probably Ash scolding him. He got up and walked towards a stand to get stuff.

Alicia hasn't texted me much, making me extremely uncomfortable. We were usually in constant contact but she's been avoiding me. She's only texted me telling me she's gotten to her layover safely.

Lyric: I know you're mad, upset, hurt, whatever. But you weren't a burden on us. You never will be. I wish you hadn't left. We've got a month left of vacation and I was hoping we could have some fun.
Lyric: people will always hurt you
Lyric: even if they don't mean to
Lyric: even if they promised they wouldn't
Lyric: I know you don't want to get burned by the same flame, but I believe in you guys, more than I believe in air of things
Lyric: I hate seeing you hurt, I just want it to be right again.

(Lycia's POV)

I was sitting in the terminal of my layover when I received dozens of texts from Lyric. I refrained from opening them, knowing how easily I would give into her persuasion.

I decided to text one of my old friends from back home.

Lycia: hey skeeter, what are you up to tomorrow night?
Skeeter: Lycia! It's been awhile! Im partying as usual with the gang. You coming back home?
Lycia: yeah I am. Put me down on whatever list you got going. I wanna party.
Skeeter: sweet. I'll text the guys and tell them you're coming back around. The girls, too?
Lycia: nope, just me

Calum gets to be reckless? I get to be reckless.

(Calum's POV)

I answered Ashton's phone call to a his loud and alarming tone to take care of Lyric. She's still feeling the aftermath and I can tell. I hung up with him and went to a stand to buy some drinks and medications. I came back and sat by Lyric on the wall.

"How ya feeling?" I asked awkwardly handing her the bag of stuff.

"Other than utterly annoyed? Fine." She spat.
