Elena and Bonnie were a big help when it came to getting ready. I wore a green a line dress with spaghetti straps and simple black flats with sheer black tights underneath. Once again, I wasn't wearing much makeup. Only some blush and mascara. Elena was wearing an orange dress and had her hair half up. Bonnie left earlier to go back home and get ready. We sat on the couch until the doorbell rang. We both opened the door with smiles on our faces. Charlie and Stefan were standing beside each other. Stefan was wearing a black suit and a black button up shirt. Charlie was wearing a white button up, black dress pants, and a brown vest that was unbuttoned but looked amazing nonetheless. "Wow." They said in unison.

We all got in the car. Stefan and Elena in the front seats and me and Charlie in the back seats. The ride wasn't very long and Charlie even helped me out of the car when we got there... not that I needed it or anything...

We walked into the big mansion and I saw Damon eyeing Elena. I shot him a dirty look, but I don't think it did anything. I really need to step up my intimidation game. Maybe I should get a switchblade?

"Who pissed in your cereal?" I looked over at Charlie, who seemed to notice my furious expression.

"Damon just gets on my nerves." I say. "He thinks he can just waltz into town and play Caroline like that and it makes me so... just- I hate him!" I whisper yelled.

"That sucks..." Charlie said. Caroline may be annoying sometimes but she is definitely well liked throughout Mystic Falls. "I mean, I would kick his ass, but he looks like he's at least 4 inches taller than me. Plus he seems pretty intimidating."

"Don't worry about it." I said, still glaring at Damon. "If he makes another move on my sister, I'll do it for you."

"He made a move on Elena?" Charlie looked bewildered.

"Yup." I said. "She slapped the shit outta him though."

"Your family is so badass..." He says, almost as if it was just to himself.

I laugh. "Let's go get a drink."

"Sure thing!" He holds out his arm for me to take.

"Ooh! What a gentleman!" I take his arm and we walk over to the bar. Yes, the Lockwood Mansion has a whole ass bar. With the good stuff too. We sit down next to each other. "So what do you want to drink?"

"Do you really think they're gonna give two 14 year olds alcohol?" Charlie said skeptically.

"Watch and learn, Charles. Watch and Learn..." I grinned at him and turned to the bartender. "Hi, can I get 2 glasses of champagne please?"

The bartender took one look at us both. "Nice try kids, but I can't give alcohol to two underaged minors. It's the law."

Charlie gave me an 'I told you so' look and started to get up from the bar. I grabbed his hand and gave him a pointed look. He sighed and sat back down. I looked at the bartender's name tag. "Okay, Jack. If you wanna talk about the law, it also states that people who are underage will be allowed to drink as long as it's for religious purposes or if they have parental consent. Now, my parents are dead and his have been on a business trip for the past week, so I really think they could care less."

The bartender looked between me and Charlie, who's mouth was agape. Jack sighed and got a bottle of champagne and two glasses. "I don't get payed enough for this crap."

"Thank you so much Jack. You're a real peach." I smiled innocently. Then I turned back to Charlie, handing him a glass. "That's how it's done."

"You are, unbelievable, Nora." Charlie laughed as we clinked our glasses together. We left to go look at the artifacts.
