I sit on the bench on my porch taking deep breaths. I can't deal with this right now. I just... need to take on one mystery at a time. And the one I've been trying to figure out since the beginning of this mess is at the top of the list. I open up my phone. I can believe I'm about to do this.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Bonnie?"

"Yeah? What's up Nora?"

"So you know how you said your grams is like, a witch and stuff?"

"Yeah..."

"This is gonna sound crazy but... do you think she could help me with something? It's kinda been freaking me out for a couple of weeks."

"Yeah, I'll ask her. I'm with her right now so it shouldn't be a problem."

"Thanks. Just tell her my necklace glows at weird times."

"...will do..." There was a pause. "Okay, she said come over."

"Thank you so much Bonnie. I'll be right there. Bye!"

"Bye!"

I put my phone in my pocket and got on my bike. Bonnie's Grams lived in Mystic Falls as well. I rode my bike to her house and ran right up to the door and knocked when I got there. "Nora! Come on in." I go inside after setting my bike down on the railing. "Bonnie tells me weird things have been happening with your necklace?"

"Yeah..." I take it off and hand it to her. "I mean, call me crazy... but it just starts glowing at random times. There's no pattern to it or anything."

She takes a closer look at the gem. "This is a blood rock."

"What does that mean?" Bonnie asks.

"It is said to glow around vampires and darken around werewolves. It'll glow more intensely around vampires who kill more often." She explains. "This necklace was made by a witch many years ago."

"A witch?"

"Yes. It may seem crazy, but it's true." Grams says.

"I mean, considering the last couple days I've had... I think there's about to be a whole new definition to the word crazy." I say as she hands me the necklace and I put it back on.

"Hmm..." Grams only hums in response as if she knows what I'm talking about. "Well, while you're here, why don't you take these back to your house." Grams hands me a container of brownies. I'm about to object but she persists. "I insist, Nora. I put a very special herb in them to protect you and your family."

Bonnie gasps. "Grams! Those better not be pot brownies!"

"Of course not, Bonnie!" She laughs. Then she looks back at me. "It's and old family recipe. Trust me."

I smile and nod. "Thank you Mrs. Bennet." I walk out of the house. Okay, my necklace is a vampire detector. That's new. Is that why it started glowing in history class? And whenever Stefan came over? And why it was lighting up like crazy whenever I was around Damon? I guess so. I get on my bike and ride down the road. It was starting to get late and I should really be getting home. When I get home, Elena and Jeremy were cleaning up the kitchen. "I'm home."

"Nora!" Elena runs over and hugs me. "I was so worried about you!"

"Well, I'm here, and I'm fine. And I brought brownies." I hold up the container. "Bonnie's grandma gave them to me. She said they have a special herb to protect us whatever that's supposed to mean."

"Why were you-" Elena was cut off by the sound of the doorbell. She sighed and went to answer it. I came with. It was Damon. Elena tried to close the door on him, but he shoved it back open. And that, folks, is why you look through the peep hole before opening the door. "Jeremy, Nora, go upstairs."

"What? No!" I start to argue, but Jeremy looks at me, shaking his head. Then I remember that I can't let anyone know that I know. I follow him upstairs but wait at the top of the staircase hiding around the corner to listen in.

"You're afraid of me..." Damon says, slightly surprised. "I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess... Stefan finally fessed up."

"Stay away from me." Elena said.

"Hey, hey, hey. There's no need to be rude. I'm just looking for Stefan." He says defensively. "May I come in?" He asks. "Oh wait. Of course I can. I've been invited in." What does that mean? Can vampires only come in if they've been invited? Cause surely there has to be a lot of grey area in that kind of rule. He steps into the house, closing the door behind him. "We can cut to the chase if you want. I'm not gonna kill you right now." RIGHT NOW?! "That wouldn't serve my greater agenda." GREATER AGENDA?!?!!? "So... where's Stefan?"

"He's out looking for Vicky." Elena said harshly, trying to hide her fear. I could tell it wasn't working and I was in a whole other room.

"Don't look at me with those judgey little eyes." He says. "She should thank me for what I did to her."

"Did you thank Katherine?" Elena said. Oh shit. Shots fired.

"Mm... got the whole life story huh?" I could hear creaking in the floorboards closer to the staircase so I quietly shuffled away from the corner but still close enough to listen.

"I got enough."

"Oh I doubt that." What kind of game is he trying play? "Tell my brother I'm looking for him." I hear a the front door open again. "Oh, tip for later... be careful who you invite into the house... and... you never know who's listening." I hear the door close as my heart practically stops. How did he know I was up here? It has to be a coincidence, right?... well, nothing is a coincidence anymore.

I quietly run to my room. Holy shit. Okay... deep breaths, deep breaths... count to ten and it'll be fine. Except it's not fine because Damon knows that I know, and I'm pretty sure Vicky's a vampire now. I just have to distract myself right now. I go down stairs to see Elena sitting down on the floor with her back against the front door. I sigh and run to her side and then we just cry together, for different reasons, but still together.
