Last night, Elena was talking with Stefan downstairs in the living room all most all night. Jeremy was probably getting hug in his bedroom, and I was alone with my thoughts. With my wild imagination. Why do people not see the supposed 'animals' coming? I mean, it's not like they're spies or something. And it's pretty easy to run away before a coyote gets to you. Unless, it's not an animal that's doing this? I know it sounds crazy, but what if it's some psycho killer or something? I don't know at this point. It's late at night and I should be going to sleep.

I got up and heard Elena and Jenna talking about how Jeremy left to go to wood-shop and finish a birdhouse. I walk over to them in my Pajamas. "Umm... hey to burst your bubble, but there is no wood-shop."

"Yeah, they canceled the course last year when some kid cut his finger off." Elena said.

"Okay then..." Jenna said. She was dressed up in a nice purple dress for Jeremy's parent teacher conference.

Today in 'Tight-Ass Tanner's' history class, we were learning about a dumb comet, while Stefan and Elena have each other sweet looks. "Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?"

Finally the bell rang and I headed to English class. A couple more classes past and finally... lunch. I snuck up behind Charlie, putting my arm around him. "Ready to buy me lunch today, Charles?"

"Ready as I'll ever be, Noreen." He said with a sarcastic smile. He's the only one who knows my full name outside of my family and I'd like to keep it that way.

"I get it, you're bitter about losing, but you have to admit... I did kinda nail it."

"Very true... and I had a lot of fun watching you try to pick a fight with an inanimate object." He said.

"Excuse me, that bike handle was openly tormenting me. It deserved to be kicked in the face." I said defensively.

Charlie laughed. "Honey... bike handles don't have faces." I laugh as we meet Elena, Bonnie, and Stefan outside at a table for lunch. We sit down and say hi, then Charlie turns back to me. "So let me guess... grilled cheese?"

"You know me so well." I say as he gets up to go buy lunch in the cafeteria, putting his stuff down to save his place. I turned back to everyone at the table. They were all looking at me eyebrows raised and all. "Oh I know what that look is. Trust me, there is noting going on with me and Charlie. He just lost a bet and has to buy me lunch."

"Yeah... sure..." Elena says with a smirk.

"So what's up with you guys?" I ask, trying to change the subject.

"I was filling Caroline in on my weird, witchy ancestors." Bonnie says.

"I was talking to Matt, who is visiting Vicky in the hospital now." Elena said.

"And I was just wandering. Trying to get a feel for the school, you know?" Stefan says.

"Cool." Charlie comes back with my sandwich and one for himself. "Okay, now that almost everyone's here, I can you guys my theory."

They looked confused. Charlie rolled his eyes. "Oh my god. She called me in the middle of the night about this."

"What theory?" Bonnie asks. "I'm officially curious!"

"Great! So you how there have been a bunch animal attacks?" They all nodded. "Well, hear me out on this... I don't think those attacks were by animals. I mean, just look at the evidence. The scenes are just too... clean."

"Clean?" Elena repeats with confusion.

"Yeah! The victims would have seen or heard an animal coming if it were big and strong enough to do... that." I shuddered at the thought of the images on the news. Vicky really got lucky.

"Okay, then what do you think did it?" Stefan asked.

"Call me crazy, but I think it was some sadistic serial killer with a vendetta against the town. I mean think about it. It can't be a coincidence that there haven't been any witnesses yet! Coyote's aren't that smart and wolves hunt in packs. Plus, animals don't care about leaving witnesses." I say.

"Okay then explain... how the bodies were ripped apart?" Bonnie said, obviously amused.

"I mean, really, it's not that hard. In the early 1900s there was a murder case where the body was  found dismembered and shoved in a lab cabinet after a failed attempt to burn the body. At first, they thought it was the super buff janitor, but then they persecuted the owner of the lab who was an expert on anatomy and stuff like that. However a day after the execution, the victim's ex dentist-a guy who you could tell barely worked out and only really specialized in teeth-confessed to the murder." They all looked at me, seemingly confused. I sigh. "That was just a really long winded way of saying that it could be anyone."

I looked at all of them. For a second, I thought Stefan even looked nervous. Who wouldn't be with a killer on the loose? Wether its an animal or not... They all quickly shrugged off my theory, and  I had a little bit too by the end of the day. I still have my suspicions though...

After school I walked through the door to see Aunt Jenna moping around eating nachos. "What happened to you?"

She sighed and looked at me. "I tried giving your brother the 'drugs are bad' talk." She said. "He walked out the back door in the middle of it."

"Aw, I'm sure you had a wonderful speech."

"Thanks Nora... wanna hear it?" Jenna says hopefully.

"Yeah, that's pushing it..." I say, walking to my room. About and hour later I go downstairs to Elena and Jenna having a conversation.

"Wait till you date a guy with mommy issues, or cheating issues... or amphetamine issues." Jenna said, taking a bite of an apple.

"What happened? Do I need to beat someone up?" I asked, hoping they weren't talking about Stefan. He was actually kinda cool, and I didn't want to have to hate him for the sake of Elena.

"It's fine, I just found out that I'm a rebound." Elena said.

"Well, that sucks." I sympathize. "But look at it this way, you'll be the girl to show him just how bad the last one was for him in comparison."

"I guess that makes sense. But that's not even all of it." Elena starts. I lean on the kitchen counter. "He also has a brother that he absolutely hates."

"Well, that was kinda obvious, though..." I say.

"What do you mean, obvious?"

"When Caroline asked if he had any siblings he said none that he talks to. And you're telling me you didn't think about it for one second?" I said.

Jenna and Elena both shared a look. "I guess not, but not everyone watches tv shows about criminal profiling so..."

I sigh and walk over to the pantry, just as Jeremy walk in through the front door. Jenna walks toward him, furious. "Jeremy, where were you?"

Jeremy starts walking up the stairs. "More stoner stories? Look, Jenna I get it, you were cool once. And that's cool." Oh he is so hammered.

"Oh, no no no no no, no!" Jenna throws the leftovers of the apple at him.

"Ow! Why? Why did you do that?" Jeremy asked, although he was to high to actually flinch from the impact.

"Quit ditching class, or you're grounded, no discussion!" Jenna says.

"Parental authority, I like it." Jeremy grinned, to hammered to think straight. "Sleep tight."

Jenna walked back to the kitchen. "Unbelievable."

"Would it make you feel better if I listened to your drugs are bad speech?" I asked.

"Nice try, hun... do you guys want me to order some pizza?" Jenna said, picking up her phone.

"No thanks I'm not hungry." I say.

"I lost my appetite after Nora told us her theory about the animal attacks." Elena said, starting to walk up the stairs.

Jenna looked between the both of us. "I would ask... but I also wanna sleep soundly tonight, so... goodnight, I guess." We both laughed and walked upstairs to our rooms.
