The next morning I wake up, get ready for school and go downstairs for breakfast. I'm still mad at Elena and we haven't talked about the me knowing situation yet. I'm not talking to her at all. She comes downstairs and starts a conversation with Jenna. "Jeremy's got his sketch pad out."

"No way!" Jenna smiles.

"Yeah but don't say a word." Elena says. "The minute we encourage him, he'll put it away."

"Psychology major! Check that." Jenna agrees. She looks over at Elena who is checking her phone. "You and Stefan? Update?"

"He knows how I feel and where I stand, and I know where he stands, but it doesn't matter." Elena says. "He's leaving. Moving away."

"Really? Where?" Jenna says.

"Does it matter?" I interject. "Everyone's been leaving town lately. Can you really blame him for wanting to get away from this hellhole?"

They both look at me. "Damn. What's got you down?" Jenna says.

"I don't know, maybe it's the constant reminder of betrayal." I say sarcastically. "I would say ask Elena but she'd probably just lie."

Elena scoffs. "Why don't you go look up privacy in the dictionary or something?" She says.

"Okay, maybe I will!" I snap. "Then I could try finding a good definition for boundaries because apparently you still need to brush up on some facts!"

"Fine!"

"Fine!" We go back to not talking.

Jeremy walks downstairs and Jenna is still bewildered. "Have they ever fought like that before?"

"No, they haven't." Jeremy says. "Maybe they'll just forget about whatever they're arguing about in a week or so." They both stated at us.

I roll my eyes. "I'm gonna go to school." I get on my bike and ride to school where career day posters were being put up everywhere. I walk down the hallway and see Matt and Caroline walking down the hall talking and laughing together. I just realized, I haven't talked to Charlie about what happened at the party. We haven't had time to hang out after school and we can't really talk about that sort of thing during class, and then lunch isn't really the best time either since it's not the most private setting. I guess I'll have to remember to make plans.

History class is super awkward with Elena and I having to sit next to each other. Not to mention, Stefan's seat is empty, so that was kinda weird. The rest of the day is pretty boring. I don't really get a lot of time with Charlie cause I have to spend lunch in the library doing homework. The work is staring to pick up now that it's the middle of the year. After school I go home, do homework, and then just relax on the couch for a while. It was a pretty normal day. Was. "Hey, Nora! Come on, get in the car!"

"Ugh. I don't understand why I have to go this stupid career day thing too." I said. "Can't I just stay home?"

"Well, I would've said yes, if it weren't for your little stunt last night." Jenna says. "You ran into the woods where there's no cell service without telling me, so I am not letting you out of my sight."

"This sucks." I say to myself, getting into the car. We drive to the school and walk around into the packed hallways. "Stupid. Boring. Pointless. I shouldn't even be here-" I bump into someone. "Shit sorry." I look up to see Matt. "Oh, hi Matt."

"Hey. Did I interrupt your inner monologue of hatred for school functions?" He asks. I chuckle.

"No. It's fine." I said. "I'm just bored out of my mind and Jenna said I have to be here because of what happened in the woods."
