(During midday on the mainland)
(Sonic, Niki, Sally, Nicole, and Bunnie are in a semi-circle chatting near the house)
Sally: (to Sonic and sways hand on hip) So, I have a little surprise for you.
Sonic: Really, what kind of surprise?
Sally: You'll find out.
(Nicole and Bunnie chuckle on the surprise. Sally then looks at Niki who is beside the two and thinks to herself)
Sally: Hm... You know what, I think this could be a surprise for Niki as well.
Niki: (eyes shine) Wait, really?
Sally: (happily) Yep.
Sonic: (blunt) Don't tell me it's something we have to share?
Sally: Well... Yes and no.
(Sonic slouches in disappointment)
Sally: Oh, you'll be fine. We should probably get going now. (Walks past Sonic)
(The rest then follow Sally)
(A few minutes later)
(Sally has Sonic's eyes covered, while Bunnie has Niki's eyes covered)
Niki: I can't wait!
Sonic: (bluntly) I think I can.
Sally: (rolls eyes) Oh, shut up, you'll love it.
(They finally reach what's the end of lush forestry)
(Sally uncovers Sonic's eyes)
(Sonic eyes shine and has huge smile for what he is gazing at)
(Sally then signals Bunnie to uncover Niki's eyes)
(Niki has the same expression only, her smile comes in slower)
Sonic: (sly) You didn't.
Sally: Oh, I did.
(The scene then changes to what they are seeing. It's nothing but miles upon miles of long grass plains with thick forestry being the division along the sides)
(They are also on a fairly large, steep hill looking down on the scene)
(Sonic then out of no where starts whooping in excitment and then rushes down the hill)
(Niki is still in amazement until Sonic yells from a distance technically calling for Niki)
Sonic: (to Niki) What are you waiting for?!
(Niki puts on a huge smile and then jumps from the hill and pretty much slides down on it like Sonic drifing on a rail. She then runs to catch up with Sonic)
(Back on top of the hill)
Bunnie: (giggling) You definitely got him to show his kiddy side.
Sally: I honestly just wanted Niki to experience what it was like, since Sonic already got the chance. And why not bring back old memories?
